The spellpower, int & stam is higher on this one than https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=39423. Crit is a bit lower but it has MP5.
As a holy pally I'm now using this one, since I switched from Holy Light spam to more Flash of Light. Mana conservation comes more into play now and crit is not that very good anymore with the Illumination nerf.
Only downside is that it doesn't have any haste...

Great mace and easy to get, especially if you're unlucky with drops in 25 mans. Got this on my second run as a resto shaman, the 487 spell power is great and the mp5 doesn't hurt at all. If you are worried about mana, pick this up, but the dagger that drops off the Black Knight is generally better.

Unless you're starving for MP5 and Int, the Spectral Kris is a more attractive alternative due to the gem slot and added Haste on top of the Crit for healers that can use daggers. Leave this one for the pallies.

gtfo my interwebz. Healadins have been nerfed alot in 3.2.0, so now we have to gear for a mix of mp, int and crit in order to keep our mana pool healthy. Which makes this mace very good for a holy paladin, thank you very much.

Please learn not to be out of date on your information when you make statements like;
"now that guy who said "leave this to holy pallies" is a retard."

Saying things like that makes you look like a retard, paladins, this mace is great, go get it.

Looks like a good healadin mace now that Blizz seems to want us to focus on MP5. I love the fact that it has both crit AND MP5 instead of one or the other, making this extremely efficient in mana regen (while 30% isn't as much as it used to be, it's still nice to have that 30% on crit returned along with the steady MP5). It's ugly imo but totally worth it. Will be farming for this one!

This mace is allround good for all healers, but from a resto shaman PoV: if you dont have mana issues and need more healing output, go for the Spectral Kris instead. With its haste and a gem socket it provides more throughput,

Ive been farming ToC hc since the patch. Today will be the 15th time I run the instance, hope I finally get it.

Must of done heroic TOC 25 times now and not seen this or the dagger so far. Guess im just unlucky, either that or a really low droprate.

Prior to the patch, paladins didn't need a lot of Mp5... after the patch and constantly running low on mana... paladins are definitely looking at gearing more Mp5.

Mariel's Sorrow is a big upgrade from Titansteel Guardian (crafted) or War Mace of Unrequited Love (Drop from Keristrasza in Heroic Nexus).

This just dropped for me and I had previously passed on it in another run for our healer. I'm a Moonkin 1st, ToL 2nd and this mace outstripped both the Titansteel Guardian and the War Mace I was carrying for each respective set (a +12 loss in Stamina against the Titansteel)

I've never seen the Dagger drop so for me, this was a great upgrade which now allows me to carry one mace for two sets. At least until something better or more appropriate comes along.

To be honest, the droprate on this is way too low in my eyes. I have been running it for a long time and have only seen it twice during them ( and lost both ), first of all theres a 50% chance to him spawning after the mounted fight, on top of that there's an 11% droprate from him....damn low for an upgrade, good, but still.

Ran this instance too many times to count and have still never seen it drop.

Everyone i inspect has it though so i must have the worst luck or the drop rate has been nerfed.

As a non raider this is the best healing weapon available to me so this is starting to get very annoying.

True, while every healer can not use daggers, "every healer" is not limited to priests and pallys. Shamans and druids can heal and they can use daggers. While calling a dagger a "healer item" is subjective, the Spectral Kris is clearly a caster dagger and is obviously not itemized with a paly or priest in mind.

As for your second comment...
Ele shamans and boomkins ARE "pure DPS casters" that CAN use maces.
