观察者奥尔加隆's planetary diagnostics result in one of two possible reply signals: Reply-Code Alpha, signalling 'All is well', and Reply-Code Omega, requesting planetary reorigination. If he is not stopped within one hour, his analysis confirms the 's calculations, which estimate the chance of Reply-Code Omega to be 99.99% (repeating, of course), finding partial corruption in the planet's life support systems, as well as complete corruption in most of the planet's defence mechanisms. When he is defeated, however, he rearranges the Reply-Code and leaves this item in his cache, because he lacks the strength to transmit it to the Pantheon himself. As 布莱恩·铜须 suggests, the Reply-Code should be brought to 罗宁 in the Violet Citadel, from where it can be transmitted.

There are an infinite quantity of numbers between 0 and 1.

A note to the math saavy out there: 99.99... (... or ellipsis indicating a number or numerical pattern repeating forever) is equal to 100. So if the % chance of Omega being the signal chosen was 99.99...%, then it was 100% going to happen. ^^

Qualitatively, yes. It was "going to happen". However, it didn't. That small little fraction of a percent existed, thus you are able to defeat the Observer and prevent the destruction of the world. If the value for Omega-code was 1, then you likely could not have interfered with the process.

And to the "math savvy", it's a simple principle from calculus, the idea of limits. As the value of Omega approaches infinity the limit in this particular case is 1. It may never actually reach the value of 1 (in the case of an "improper integral"), but the number which is infinitely increases towards is a particular value. The Titans, being the beings they are, might have actually programmed the Archive in such a way that it could never send a 100% Omega code message and that it would always require Algalon's verification of the Omega status.

It's called a safe-measure.
