This item is a surprisingly disappointing sidegrade from the 10man version: Mantle of the Preserver.

Worth noting if your guild does DKP for 25 and rolls for 10 like mine that there's an easier to get equivalent out there.

No, not rlly at all bobjoephil. lets just assume u slap a 19 spellpower gem which u may or may not do . u would gain 18 spell power 16 spirit which for a holy priest would be 22 spellpower for just 16 crit rating, or for a mage u woudl gain 18 spellpower and with glyph of molten armor you would just lose 3 crit rating. So its clearly better. Is it amazing? no obviously not. is it better then mantle of the preserver obviously yes.

Edit: additionally to maynards, a statement like mantle of dissemination is better then this. is ridiculous if you do not imply a class. As a holy priest with spiritual guidance, with a 19 spell power gem in this item and the 10 spirit for 3 int I would rather have this item then the mantle of dissemination. Would even be a bigger difference if you put a 23 spell power gem in this because you would get 17-18 more spellpower then the mantle of dissemination then this item. For me though since I am all about throughput for healing I would much rather have the tier 8.5 shoulders then these.

My numbers are correct and I specifically said holy priests yes I realize there are other classes but as long as an item is better then another for one class it has use. AND ITS NOT *!@#ING 4 MORE SPELLPOWER LRN2 ADD. 90+23 is 113 mantle of dissemination has 98 and then u get 2 more spellpower at least because of spirit i said that i was putting a red gem in there too. The gem adds variability to the piece.
