Where does it come from and how hard is it to get?
The Big Blizzard Bear comes from the BlizzCon 2008 Welcome package. It was also obtainable via DirectTV subscription in the USA.
Rarity: One per visitor to BlizzCon 2008

How much would I expect to pay for one off eBay or similar?
According to http://www.wowtcgloot.com/big_blizzard_bear.htm (most information sourced from there), the lowest Buy It Now price starts around $200 USD upwards to $300 USD.

Facts:

Both Horde and Alliance can ride the mount.
Is the first mount that is "Bound to account". This allows the mount item to be mailed to your other characters on redeemed server.
Unlocks the "Big Blizzard Bear" Feat of Strength achievement.
Adjusts movement speed and appearance according to your Riding skill, minimum level 30 for Riding skill 75.
Zas'Tysh redeems for Horde in Valley of Honor, Orgrimmar.
Ransin Donner redeems for Alliance in Forlorn Cavern, Ironforge.

I have the 25 digit loot code, now what?
All accounts from every region in the world use http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/misc/promotion.html to redeem any and all special loot. This webpage allows you to enter the 25 digit promotion code and also select the region and realm for the character that will receive the loot item.

Upon succcessfuly submitting the above information, you will be presented with an in-game code. Write this code down or print it out; you will need it to retrieve your item. Log into the game with the character that is to receive the item and travel to Orgrimmar for Horde, or Ironforge for Alliance. Find your murloc representative (listed in "Facts" above), he will ask you whether you want the Murloc Suit, Murloc Pet, or Big Blizzard Bear. Ensure you have got bag space to hold the item! Select the item from the list of available promotions, and then enter the in-game code you wrote down.

The item is bound to account, which means you can learn the item on the character you redeem the item on, and then mail it to all other characters on your account. So, basically, all your characters get the mount!

This, interestingly enough, is also the case with the collector's edition pets. once you learn them, you can pass them on... which enables you to learn all three of the original collectors edition pets, along with the Netherwhelp from BC if you have it.

As with all other Bind on Account (BoA) items, the item is not consumed and does not become soulbound when used.

Something interesting that I noticed with this mount, is that in addition to obviously changing it's pitch based upon the terrain, it also affects roll (tilt?), meaning that it actually leans side to side, if that is the terrain it's riding upon.

I've tried a handful of other mounts (sabre, horse, Death Knight summoned mount) and none of these have the same effect.

I love this mount but the cloak on my mail orc "clips" it on the back so you can see the cloak through the back of the mount.

It seems to be ok on other races i've used it on.

As of 3.0.3 (when I was still playing) this mount could be mounted on any multi-person mounts e.g mechano hog and mammoth. Looks funny with taurens.

this mount is from blizzcon 2008 as we all know its boa and blue qualty theres no epic versoin but when you get the good level and buy the training it transforms tho 100% mount poeple could also pay both days of blizzcon for this mount the live stream two days costed 30 dollars evry day

I found a bug with this item. After learning the ability to summon this mount (i.e., right-clicking on the item handed to me by the redeemer NPC), I get to keep the actual item in my inventory, unlike other "summonable" items in-game. After that, I added this to a macro I use which has the line:

/cast Big Blizzard Bear;

It always worked fine when I had the actual item in my bag, but when I sent the item to another alt toon, the macro on my main toon does not work anymore. It seems like for the macro to work, my toon has to physically have the item in his bag. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have just purchased the mount off eBay and they are going for $200 a time off a WoW collectables trader in the US. Did some looking and these things are very hard to come by so if you want one grab it when you see it!

Also terms set by Blizzard , you should not be given the code just by an email and the actual card has to be sent. So buyers make sure that you get the card unscratched when buying.

This is the official collectors item mount you can only get from the loot cards given out at Blizzcon2008.

I'm very curious: this mount has been increasing up until 1000 euro in value on ebay and such until 2018, at that point it started dropping till like 400, I can't find the answer anywhere: what happened that suddenly inverted the trend of this mount? Tcg mounts just kept rising, so this is the exception.
