For those of us warriors who sometimes throw sweeping strikes when multiple mobs are low on HP and ask themselves "was it worth wasting 30 rage points if the mobs will be dead before effect finishes?"

Something like this would probably be helpful while leveling as rage is constantly an issue for most leveling warriors.

(I can't say how useful it will be at high levels personally)

It seems useful but as the rage generation goes up the 30 rage given by this ability seems somewhat neglectable.

Especially since Arms warriors will be probably be using this a lot and their rage gen. doesn't seem so bad at all with the Endless Rage talent.

Might be better off getting a different glyph, unless you plan on aoegrinding a lot.

This glyph has been really nice while tanking as arms.

full rage bar in def stance, jump into battle, pop bloodrage, pop sweeping, charge, and back in defstance with loads of rage to thunderclap and demoshout.

in 3.1, this glyph is being changed to remove the rage cost of Sweeping Strikes...

I think this will most likely boost the usefulness of Sweeping Strikes by a large margin, since the duration and cooldown are both 30sec, this could mean that Sweeping Strikes would be lot more useful because you would always be able to hit a second target (at LEAST 5 times every 30sec)

This should boost its effectiveness in both PvE and PvP by a large margin, because it can double your damage in PvP and it will help clear trash faster in PvE (which is a large amount of the time spent raiding)

This glyph is a must-have for any lvling Arms warrior. 30 sec CD of sweeping strike has always been negligable but 30 rage cost could be too much for a low lvl warrior.

With this glyph, mobs will melt in front of your face when sweeping strike used with overpower, slam, cleave.

SS has a 30 second duration and 30 second cooldown. With this glyph, it has no casting cost, and is off the GCD.

Charges are not expended when there is not a second mob in rage.

Ergo, you can have this up permanently with some clever macroing, methinks.

Charges are not lost on strikes that don't sweep. When used in BGs this pumps out a lot of extra damage for no extra effort.

Seen arms warriors use it in pvp to macro it with their bladestorm, tried it and must say i was impressed by the result on pet classes or melee groups, most effictive when there are only 2 (results that the first 2 whirlwinds do double damage effectivly inscreasing your burst damage to your main nuke target) while you can do this anyway, it would require you to havae at least 55 rage to do so and against high armor targets or during quick rushes you won't have that amount up, there is also no garantee that you will have this amount of rage when the ideal moment to use your bladestorm is there

Good for immune rushes in arena where you can't wait for rage, worse then MS, rend, hamstring or even execution or rapid charge for anything else

This glyph is quite nice now.

0 Rage cost and no GCD means you can macro Sweeping Strikes to all of your abilities and you never even have to think about hitting it. Heroics or Raid trash is always bundled up close anyway, and having this glyph adds a lot of multi-target DPS.

Interestingly this glyph is actually MORE potent than Anger Management, which is essentially a "spell" talent (in a place where a level 20, 30, 40, etc. "spell" would be.

Napkin math:

Assuming that you use Sweeping Strike every cooldown (as you should) you would see a net gain of 30 rage per 30 seconds or 1 rage per second (30/30=1)

Anger Management, on the other hand, yields - as said on the box - 1 rage per 3 seconds or 1/3 rage per second.

That said, the benefit of Anger Management is primarily in maintaining rage between pulls. Thus, if you are rage-starved during combat, the yield from this glyph would probably be of more use. If, however, you are rage starved on pulls due to a lag in between them, you are going to reap more benefit from Anger Management.
