the effect will most probably have an internal cooldown of several seconds, and of course will only heal when there is actually something dispelled.

Does anyone know how to target yourself in a macro, I know it's a stupid question but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I ask this because I wanted to make a macro that casts dispel magic on myself, because it is a pain to use because whenever I cast it I am usually targeting a hostile target and attempt to dispel one of their buffs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few notes:

The heal does not pull you from Shadowform.
The heal can crit.
The heal occurs if the dispel is resisted.
The heal does not heal hostile targets.
No internal cooldown.

I can see this becoming -the- priest PvP glyph. Amazing stuff. Combine this with the Glyph of Power Word: Shield and you can heal yourself quite effectively in Shadowform with VE as well-- given, of course, that you are fighting something that casts magic debuffs on you. It has saved me multiple times so far in battle.

Expect a big nerf of this very soon.

The effect can be abused by dispelling bosses - city bosses like Thrall and the Drek'Thar in AV.

I would like to note that you CANNOT stack several glyphs of the same type to increase the effect. Upon attempting to inscribe a duplicate Glyph at the Lexicon of Power you recieve the message:

"That Glyph is already inscribed in your spellbook."

it is nerfed now silvermoon city boss was attacked today and i bought the glyph for that and it did min 908 healing average 1022 and max 1816 healing

I think it's so sad that this along with Guardian Spirit have been nerfed for use on the NPC bosses. It added an interesting dynamic to the game where people were not powerless to help their leaders, but could do something to help. Spirit was obviously far too powerful and perhaps this was pushing it, but I wish there were more things you could do FOR THE NPC rather than attacking the players in order to help. :(

Why would this just be a useful glyph for PvP? It comes in handy for PvE as well. Normally if one of the group has a spell on them that needs dispelling, they are taking damage from that spell - and many of the instances seem to have debuffs/spells that can be dispelled. Any good priest should be throwing out dispells as required anyway - so it is possible that dispel + heal just means that that target doesn't need additional heals. I have found it pretty hand in 5 mans.

Sadly this doesn't work on our favorite Dream Walker. The fight would end in 34 GCDs from a single priest. Ah heck just bring a raid full of 8 priests and two tanks. 5 gcd fight gogogo!
