I dont know much about melee dps but im guessing this isnt as good as other enchants.
But what about a hunter? I could see this as being a very good chant for easily replaced gear seeing as it looks cheap and hit can be hard at entry level.
Also, can you put this on 2 dw weps?

i suppose that chain will be popular in arenas and battlegrounds, since all rogues have disarm ability - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=51722, and mm hunters have chimera shot which can disarm - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=53209. warriors still can disarm, and they have talent to reduce disarm duration... i think even hunters will use this chain, because rogue's disarm will affect all 3 weapon slots, donno about other abilities

This is the WotLK version of the weapon chain against disarm effects. It also offers a significant 28 Hit Rating, a value that clearly stands on its own and surpasses the previous Adamantite Weapon Chain (not to mention Steel Weapon Chain) in terms of offensive use.

As for the disarm effect, weapon chains have been traditionally used by Rogues, who don't have disarm reduction talents like Paladins (Pursuit of Justice), Warriors (Weapon Mastery), Shamans (Anticipation) or Hunters (Deflection)do. With powerful new spells like Dismantle (Rogue) and talents like Chimera Shot + Scorpid Sting (Hunter) along with the classic Disarm (Warrior), this type of ability is more than ever dangerous enough to justify enchanting a weapon with a chain for PvP, and particularly for dual-wielding specs, the presence of Hit makes this quite useful even as a purely DPS-focused enchant for Hit starved PvP gear characters.

However, it competes with several enchant options for the same slot and among them a single other one with Hit, Enchant Weapon - Accuracy which boosts Critical Strike Rating by 25 at a loss of only 3 Hit, doing without the disarm reduction.

The materials aren't too expensive and as such it should be easily available, since it is obtainable from a trainer by all 425 Blacksmiths (who'll usually end up with some of these as spares as they level up the skill).

Worth noting is that while the disarm shortening effect doesn't stack with itself, the hit rating does when dual wielding these. Also, unlike the +50ap, this one has a glow to it similar to Crusader.

This should be better than the +50 attack power enchant for Enhancement shaman if not reached the spell hit cap yet, so it's a viable choice for a temporary enchant before the new level 80 enchants become reasonably available (though Mongoose might still be better)

Does indeed count toward Ranged Hit also. So Hunters can definitely use this to improve their Hit Rating for as long as this enchantment is still too expensive.

This is a surprisingly good enchant for tanks, given that for some reason, there are no new tanking enchants. The +hit increases threat nicely, while the disarm protection can come in handy from time to time. Plus, it's reasonably priced.

The best part of this enchant is that it makes your weapon glow. The glow is white, but not ridiculously bright like Icy. It's like Crusader, but a bit more solid with occasional sparkles dropping off.

I believe this cannot be used to enchant heirloom weapons.

This may seem obvious based the item text, but I had to test since item level is not mentioned. I did not have an heirloom item available when I tested, but attempting to enchant a level 9 BoE cause an "Item is too low level" error. This is consistent with other high level enchants failing on the heirloom pieces.

the glow isnt similar to crusader atlall, more like the tbc enchant 40spellpower.. i like this glow and the enchant itself is very useful for alts aswell.. examble: just dinged 60 on my warrior which means i can use Titangrip , i bought 2x Blade of Misfortune and enchanted em with the titatium for the total of 56 hit, which is alot at 60-70 for questing

nobody mentioned it but this is a "one or the other" weapon enchant, cannot have this and an enchant at the same time.

It's a sort of poor-man's Accuracy, especially on servers like mine where the economy is broken beyond repair. One each on my hunter's melee weapons in a raid situation ain't nothin' to sneeze at, plus I'm pretty sure I'm at a massively-high risk for contracting the Azerothian version of E. coli from all the Worg Tartare I've been eating.

Well this can even be used for casters! The hit-rating counts as both. Weapon Enchant: Accuracy is to expensive for new 80s or for people who are using it for an offspec. (I'm using for offspec.) Sold for 70gold on the Auction House. Cheap mats if you need it made. So do consider using this.

Would this be a decent "enchant" to use for TG Warriors?
Any right-minded Dual-wielder needs hit rating, and the disarm reduction's pretty nice as well.
Also, it's much cheaper than Enchant Weapon - Accuracy.

Why the hell does a chain make your weapon glow with magical energy? I used this for a while and hated that there was a glow from it.

This also works for spellcasters who are looking to increase hit rating. they may not be taking advantage of the disarm reduction, but +28 hit is very good.

Not sure if this was a bug or not and it would be nice if anyone could 100% confirm or deny it but when dueling a Death Knight friend of mine on my hunter he had 2 weapon chains (he was DW of course) and even though it didn't show immune to the disarm effect it never seemed to work, even after numerous times of trying to disarm him all yielded the same seemingly immune effect... As i said before could anyone please confirm/deny this? (And yes, I can read... but we all know that tool tips can be misleading, worded incorrectly, and sometimes incorrect, the same can be said for given mechanics such as the disarm for this...)

Checked again (09/12/09) after seeing them revert the +100 hp to chest enchant back to no level requirement, I thought maybe by some miracle I would be able to put this on an heirloom weapon now, but it still requires a higher item level.
