Well, it used to be a 2handed weapon till all of the heroes started working out for lvl 80 and they found out they could one hand this so Blizz decided to keep it the same size and make it one handed. =)

All joking aside this would be awesome for enhancement shammies because of the slow speed for windfuries and stormstrikes. Also good for anyone else who dual wields as its to slow for tanking.

Not to go into a class discussion on this weapon but your last comment "to slow for tanking" is only partially correct, it is to slow for warrior tanking and obviously DK's aren't going to be dual wield tanking(parry gibbed ftl) but this weapon could find use as a Paladin tanking weapon currently.

https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=53595(4 times MAIN HAND DAMAGE, usally the slower the weapon the more max dmg) benefits greatly from a slow weapon, and seal of vengeance is now the way to go since it procs off every attack. Learn what your talking about. Fast weapon for paladin tank was the way pre 3.0, its slow weapon now.

i'm afraid you're a bit confused salty. Hammer of the righteous does not benefit positively or negatively from weapon speed. Whether you have a 1.6 speed 110 dps weapon, or a 2.8 speed 110 dps weapon they will both do the same damage with HotR assuming the stats are the same. Having a higher min/max damage does not change your MH dps, and thus will not alter HotR damage.

back on topic, this is a fantastic prot paladin weapon and can last you till 80.

Amazing weapon. Both visually and statistically, as far as Enhancement Shamans go. Just replaced Fool's Bane with this thing. Better suited to be a main-hand weapon, but my second weapon is a main-hand only. So until I find something better, this will just have to sit in my off-hand, not quite reaching its full potential.

I'd personally use one of the rewards from this quest to tank with (specifically the hammer as a Dwarf Paladin), and get the 2 handed reward.

Unless you fancy using the tanking sword from Wanted: Ragemane's Flipper for your offhand, this will likely be the first very nice weapon you'll get as a tri-spec DWing Death Knight. I believe (aside from the rewards from the aforementioned quest) this is the first Blue onehander from Northrend that we can use.

This weapon, as already stated, is MASSIVE for a 1h weapon. Works very nicely for rogues and enhancement shamans as well.

That being said, this weapon should be in your mainhand. No if's, and's or but's.

Well, some buts. If you are using a main hand only weapon like Titansteel Bonecrusher, which a lot of shamans I know are, this has nowhere to go but in the offhand. Still not a bad choice, considering that it's relatively easy to get.

This weapon is better than the MH Warglaive of Azzinoth and is a direct upgrade over Savage Cobalt Slicer for rogues. I highly recommend that you start the Ring of Blood questline as soon as you hit 75... This weapon is definitely worth it for the looks and tremendous damage.

This is the best available weapon for the OH for an enhancement shaman until level 80. There is only one other viable OH option and it is available in DTK at level 74. Get this at level 75 as soon as you can do the amphitheatre chain, put a good enchant on it, and don't bother looking for another upgrade until 80.

Some time ago, i have seen a hunter with this mace and I dont remember exactly, but his second hammer was aswell that big, if not the same... now I cant find any mace that is as big as this one...and I would really like to have some similar one to my off/main hand...
anyone knows about something? for level range 71-79? stats doesnt matter, i just want to look awesome :D

Unfortunately, in the offhand of an orc shaman, it's so big that your face literally is inside of the mace.

It hasn't been said, but this weapon is also very good for frost death knights, i upgraded my main hand from one of the https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=41182 i had and my obliterates are just huge, at least the main hand ones.
