Best enchanted with Fiery Weapon. Cost me 53g but its worth every copper. (40g for Fiery+13g lost from not vendoring).
It puts out and lights things on fire all in one weapon!

Guys.. The meaning of this is that this item doesn't have durability! If your weapon goes broken in a raid and u can't repair at the moment, just wield this and go dps. (Go go enchant this with fiery weapon :P)

I can enchant it with a Death knight rune though.

I kept it thinking I could use it to look cool while leveling up my unarmed skill. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to count for any skill at all, so it has no purpose but to look cool while walking around town.

This weapon counts as nothing at all.
Anyone can equip it so long as they have both weapon slots empty, or at least the offhand.

Everyone can equip this. I do mean EVERYONE.

I just picked it up on my 75 Rogue, and equipped it immediately. Which means I'm keeping it, not vendoring. A unique staff that a Rogue can wield.... yay for RP items.

now the fact that it takes no damage is kind of a plus. if your running lowbies through dungeons or just hanging around somewhere considerably below your lvl you loose more money from durability loss than you can actually farm gold off of mobs. but that's the only use i could find. but it looks so awesome I'm keeping. with rune of the lichbane i actualy get 100 dps on it. but no specials means.............its still useless.

if u try to use any abilities whilst having it equipped, they just appear greyed out, as if you were wielding no weapon at all.

Nothing usefull really about it, apart from it shards nicely and vendors for 15g.

actually, its funny nobody knows, you get an achievemnet for putting out fires in Kalimdor and the eastern kindoms, you get a title with it as well. sucks for those who sold it or disenchanted it lol ^^

Sounds like you're talking about the Midsummer Fire Festival Achievement, in which case, you simply right click those fires. They do not require this item.

Yes. You can train your unarmed skill with items such as these, but there are better choices, such as the Torch of Retribution, which does no damage at all (says Immune when you hit). With that item (that I still keep in the bank because it glows and illuminates your surroundings) you can simply go to the Deeprun Tram station and hit the rats to level up your skill.

in patch 3.0.8 This item was changed from having no stats to 447 AP in Cat, Bear, Dire Bear, and Moonkin forms.

it is also now noted as being a two handed weapon though i am yet to see weather non two handed weapon wielding classes can still equip this item.

This item wasn't changed to have feral AP. Blizzard just changed the way Druids gain Feral ap, It's based off weapon DPS now and for some reason now Feral AP shows up on almost every weapon on WoWhead.

This item may be equipable by all, but it DOESN'T COUNT AS A MELEE WEAPON. That means you can't use any abilities that require a melee weapon to be equipped. So much for rockin' the dps when your weap is broke =/ still better than nothing I suppose . . .

It is a vanity item. There is no point in keeping it in case you might need it for a future quest or something.

For those who when they try to equip it the message "You cannot equip that in that slot" you should know that all you need do is unequip your off hand.

For all you people who cant read the damn patch notes.

Feral Attack Power was reworked and appears on any weapon that grants druids feral attack power. This also only appears for druids no other class can see that attack power in game.

HUNTER'S SHOULD KEEP THIS ITEM!

I was on my hunter completing the quest "The Drakkensryd". And was forced into melee range to kill anything. Don't bother attacking them when you have only 1 weapon skill trained, use The Fire Extinguisher instead.

It isn't even really a melee weapon, it doesn't list a weapon class and I noticed when it was equipped and skills using melee weapon were unavailable. Blizzard put made this a quest reward to make everyone waste time scrathing their head , going "WTF is this?" a BIG lol

This does exactly what it says. It will put out any fire in WOW. Not sure if it's worth keeping just for that. I verified it by putting out the same huts that were on fire in the quest it was a reward for. Just equiped it, walked to a hut and clicked on the Extinguisher and the fire was put out immediately.

Can't seem to get it to extinguish the quest fires at all, despite trying various things including clicking on it when both equipped and not equipped, clicking on it and then a fire.. etc etc.

So does it actually put out fires, or was someone putting out a fire as you attempted it, dennydore? Easy mistake since you can put out those fires from quite a distance..
