I can see that this will drive the prices of Eternal Fire, Dark Jade, and Huge Citrine incredibly high compared to other green quality gems/eternals. Strong suggestion for any smart JC's to hold onto these and make friends with a WOTLK alchemist for a steady revenue source.

Nice for power leveling your alchemy, especially if you have a JC alt or friend. Even without you can generally sell these for enough to break even on the mats. Went yellow at 440, which is high enough to make everything of use at this point. Hopefully 3.1 Uldaar will open some new recipes for us.

It is often significantly cheaper as a JC to provide your own green gems, grab a 20 stack of fires off AH, and get a xmute spec alchemist to xmute these for you than it is to buy these metas one at a time off AH and try to convert your green gems to money via disenchanting the citrines and craft+vendoring the jades. Check prices before you buy.

Well check it out- I make all my money off these now.

Prices on my server:

Eternal Fire - 25g
Dark Jade - 5g
Huge Citrine - 2g

Bout 32g to make each... I then have a friend cut them all into useful gems and sell them for 75g each on the auction house... Best part is I proc about 10 extras every time I transmute them.

If Eternal Fire costs a lot on your server consider transmuting it from a cheaper element for much better profits. The downside of course is that you can only transmute an Eternal every 20 hours.

This is an especially good tactic for transmutation specialists since you have a chance of additional Eternals procing and then additional Diamonds on top of that.
