imo this could be used as an opener for a pat of whatever type to allow a little bit of fire dmg to help kill em faster could be espescially(sp) useful for healers who need a lil more dmg in a fight. note i have not used these in beta so i dont know any specifics about it other than the tool tip.

When used, this creates a 'Brown Rabbit', which looks like a critter, though is flagged as level 80. It moves around very little, so it's actually quite hard to get mobs to attack it without agroing you first, though AOE attacks do tend to hit it.

Should be quite fun to drop some of these around on a PvP server and watch as critter-ganking players get a bit of a surprise ;)

I notice that it stacks in lots of 20. I guess that means no charges, but each use uses one in your stack. So simply make a stack of 20 before you head out.

I wonder if this flavor text "Warning Label: May explode prematurely if subjected to an electromagnetic pulse." means it will have some kind of synergy with the Personal Electromagnetic Pulse Generator engies will be able to put on their belts. It would be great if someone in the beta would test this and post the results.

This may be a reference to Full Throttle. There's a puzzle that involves sending a bunch of wind-up bunnies out into a mine field to blow up all the mines.

Even if the cooldown says to start to reset once out of combat, it wont start until the bunny is dead. So you cant have multiple of them out at the sametime.

Also, if you are out of combat when it dies, you will have to get in combat, then leave combat to make the cooldown to start to reset.

One great use for this is on (normal, I haven't tried heroic yet) Herald Volazj. I plunked one down right at the start of Insanity right next to our very melee-heavy group and it almost instantly exploded and brought all of the shadows down to 10%.

Something very useful I do on my rogue is to put the rabbit down a good distance from a mob, slap Tricks of the Trade on it, and then attack the mob. While it runs over to the rabbit, it gives me plenty of extra time to attack before it triggers the the explosive and attacks me. This has helped me take down plenty of elite quest mobs!

This item coupled with the EMP belt attachment can be considered as another engineering DPS buff for pve. I'd honestly rather have this sort of aoe button on my rogue or DK (my engineering characters) than an extra gem socket. The mats cost is being reduced in patch 3.0.8 to make them more viable for this purpose. The upside vs grenades for dps is that you only have to hit the item button. The downside is that you can only hit an area roughly at your feet with them so no ranged aoe pulling.

Best engineering item i've ever made took some of these outside Org yesterday waited till some 80's finished a duel stealthed over dropped it and vanished, then just back up and wait for the boom either from aeo from people looking for you or some random lowbie running by killing a bunny :D

its also good to note guards will aggro and kill these so dropping them in a AH or bank isnt very easy however org bank roof was.

This was changed in the patch. Tricks of the Trade and Misdirect no longer works on it, it just bugs the spell. But instead of dropping the rabbit at your feet on use, you can aim to place it a good 15 yards from you. Makes it easier to place it before a fight, and to get something to attack it before it aggros on you.

i was helping my sister level in sholazar the other day and i thought what the heck ill go pvp drop one on the ground at nestingwary's and fly up a bit and see what happens.
well a little bit later a 75-ish dk smacks it starts getting attacked by the guards and runs like heck, so i ran and beat the now-flagged snot out of him.
mean? yes. funny? also yes

Even more cruel and funny is going to any starting zone of the opposing faction, killing a questgiver and putting the bunny in its place. Then you hide and snicker at the dismay of un-flagged lowbies as they come to turn in their quest, discover the questgiver dead, attack the bunny and are blown to kingdom come. Dazed and confused they resurrect flagged only to be one-shot with the ranged weapon/spell of your choice. Quite a riot. :)

Used this in Gadgetzan and emoted a horde to attack it. He did, got damaged and where then killed by the guards >,,<. I also noted this is pvp flagged. Can players of the opposite faction see the pvp flag?

Edit: Also wondering if this can be attacked by the opposite faction in places like Dalaran and the Tournament Grounds. Im gonna test this myself and write it here if someone attacks it.

Best place to use these, in front or in a Major City (opposing faction) in an area without too many guards. My favorite place is the hallway entrance to Orgrimmar, you'll get anyone (even level 1's) attacking these things lol...

Right, so.

Few facts on the rabbits:

You can deploy them wherever you wish within a modest range. I believe it to be 15-20 yards, though I may be wrong.

Line of Sight is not required.

They will not flag themselves for PvP unless you yourself are flagged. This is not simply when they are set, it keeps track.

The only ways the rabbits lead back to you are by damage done and whether you're flagged or not. They are neither companions nor pets, and simply appear as "Brown Rabbit"

They can easily gib low levels, and, upon attacking and being killed, the low levels then flag themselves for five minutes. Everywheres up to level 40 or so should be instagibbed from a single rabbit.

If you run too far away, the rabbit explodes. I.e. you cannot set it and hearth hoping to gib someone a continent away.

The rabbit will not attack or follow targets. They must attack it. From what I could tell through experimentation, neutral creatures will not attack rabbits.

Rabbits are not dangerous within Dalaran or other Sanctuary zones. They may be deployed, but are protected via the Sanctuary effect and cannot be attacked, and thus will not explode.

The rabbits will not begin cooldown until they have exploded. Grenade belts and other explosives will also go on their two minute cooldown timer, and likewise will not begin it until the rabbit dies. The EMP Belt is useful for premature detonation to allow replacement.

The rabbit will hop around in an extremely small area, slightly larger than the targeting reticule.

My proven strategy: Head to Elwynn. Kill some wolves near Northshire in a small, tight group. Taunt works well for gathering them without actually killing them. Place a flagged rabbit in the middle. Hide behind a tree. Watch. Teach the new player a lesson about PvP Flags by repeatedly ganking them until they also learn how the graveyard works. I also enjoyed using the MC Tinker to have them kill wolves. I'm unsure if this counts for their quest, as my subject attacked the rabbit before getting the quest.

A further intelligence test can be administered by removing all armour and weapons, and sitting down to eat or drink. If you are attacked, you may continue your experimentation for a further five minutes.

These are flagged as critters for the purpose of a Toxic Wasteling's diet.

He will eat them and not trigger their explosion.

A fun thing to do is release one of these in Gadgetzan (then go on a roof or somthing), while flagged for pvp. Somone will end up attacking it and let the guards beat the snot out of them. :D

These bunnies are flagged as your faction, so I'm going to guess that the bunnies name shows up as red to characters of the opposing faction and I think even a hovering nameplate, which might warn some people that something's up with this rabbit. I went to Gadgetzan and set at least 5 of them down while a couple Horde were running around and not one person tried to attack it.
