The quest is very simple, just summon your lafoo and look for shiny spots on the ground. When you stay close to the shiny spot will your lafoo dig up the treasure for you. Then just loot it, very simple

As of patch 3.0.8, the loot time is reduced to 1 second (from 5).

This quest can be a total nightmare on two levels; Actually finding the digging spots, and by being lucky enough to find shinnies inside them.

Basically, you need to get one of the three Gurloc companions (Lafoo,Jaloot and Moodle, which are each summoned by their respective items obtained from High Oracle Soo-Say). Once you have one of these, and he's summoned you must find Shiny spots on the ground, wait for them to start digging, and see what they unearth.

Sometimes, rather than treasure, they may dig up; a Sparkling Hare (Which you can kill for a speed buff) or some Glinting Bugs which your befriended Gurloc will jump around killing crazily. Both cute, but fairly useless.

In my opinion the best bet for finding the digging spots, is to go to the waterfall on the Rainspeaker Rapids , make sure you're on the eastern bank and have shape shifted to a suitable form if possible. Then, make you're way up and down the river bank, (not that far down, I'd say ). I personally find, that you find digging spots easier, maybe there's more, or maybe they're just easier to see against the brown dirt as oppossed to the vividly green foliage.

As for what's dug up, it's COMPLETELY random. Any myths of certain companions digging up treasure at a better rate, is completely false. Just choose the Gurloc that uses the abilities you want, or even just the one that looks the cutest. :)

You can see little sparkles on the ground, run up to them and stand there and Lafoo will dig them up for u, its not so random if you know what you r looking for, hope this helped. good hunting!

It's an annoying quest so I recorded every coordinate I found over the past couple days, so now I have this list I can just copy paste into "Paste" addon and with "Tomtom" addon I just check every coord and I'm done before I'm out of locations :) (The /cway at the end just makes your arrow show the coordinate closest to you and not every coord has a sparkly spot all the time, some are always inactive that day)
