Excellent leveling elixir for any class, but especially for Warlocks. The reagents are relatively cheap so it would be worth while making/buying plenty of these to help with leveling.

It restores 144HP every minute, for a total of 8640HP over the full hour. It's probably not worth it for grinding at higher levels, since it's easily replaced by 4 heavy runecloth bandages. But for lower levels and haul dungeons, a buff is a buff. Those HPs add up over time, and if you're cutting it close, it can make the difference between living and dying. But then again, aren't all buffs like that? :p

I don't know what you're talking about, Geryt. This potion definately stacks with the Potion of Greater Defense (+250AC), so I don't see any reason it wouldn't stack with the +450AC buff.

The effect of this potion stacks with the buff of poached salmon. And both buffs can be amplified with +healing on items. Got it on a lvl 60 rogue, to gain a sturdy 120 hp every 5 seconds, even in combat.

Enter RFD take the left path from the entrance, follow it all the way down until you get to the holding pens. He is in a holding pen next to Belnistrasz (escort quest mob).

Just wanted to post an update, as of 12/08/2005 troll's blood and demon armor DO stack, confirmed:

HP regained per tick:
Unbuffed: 9-10
Demon Armor (R1): 12-13
Armor+Strong Troll's blood: 14-15

I have to assume this applies to all ranks of troll's blood but another confirmation wouldn't hurt

For a long time, the various troll's blood potions have not worked during combat. The patch notes included with today's (2006-06-20) state that the health regeneration from these potions will now work during combat.

...and so, they are useful again after many months of uselessness.

i dont know if its working or not, what i do know is that it sells like sweet candy. i sell 5 for 2.5g and they cost about 50s to make, netting 2g (on a bad day).

Just to clear up any confusion, these potions do work as of patch 2.01. They also stack with warlock demon armor.

Tested on 45 lock: Observed regen in combat with demon armor only, then with demon armor and a mighty troll's blood potion. Without the potion my regen was +4 and then +5 alternating each tick, and with the potion it was +9 and +10 alternating each tick. The regen spreads itself out over multiple ticks rather than happening all at once every 5 seconds, so I could see how it would throw people off.

They're great grinding tools for any class, but especially so for those like a lock or shadow priest who benefit quite a bit from a little health regen. Very reasonable mats, too.

Not so good in PvP because they go away when you die, plus the regen is so slow it wouldn't make much of a difference. They are one of the cheaper potions available but it's still a waste IMO.

They are best for slightly reducing downtime while grinding, and when stacked with other consumables, have a very noticeable effect on your exp/hour. For instance, use these + shadow elixir + wizard oil + arcane elixir on a lock or SP and watch stuff dissolve before your eyes. You'd be surprised how many effects you can stack, and the cumulative effect they have.

Dying kills your efficiency and is to avoided like the plague anyway unless there is a GY nearby, but it's doubly painful when you're loaded up on elixirs/potions that poof upon death.

I am now lvl56 and it seems to me that these pretty pots have somehow lost their value in comparison to lvl39 I started using them.
Now in AV I get white damage 1-2K from Hunters and Shadowpriests can kill me with one Mind Blast, so 12HP per 5seconds is no more a life saver as it used to be once /cry

Can be pretty useful if you're holding a flag in PVP 20-29 ...

For a flag holder warrior on his own it helps ya hp ticking, gives you some extra spirit in effect Lol. If you holding a shield you're only gonna get hit for 30-50 dmg anyway. Just think Tesco's " Every little helps "

I see that this is taught by Henry Stern (for free? Don't know yet)in Razorfen Downs and yesterday I saw a copy on sale in the AH (5g Bid, 7.5g Buyout). Yes, I am sure it was Mighty Troll's Blood Potion. I almost bought it but if I can get the training for "free" (by running the dungeon), why not?
