Its pretty funny to note that this is the only form of the green drake mount, Reins of the Green Drake (or emerald or something) has not yet been released. Heck we even have the albino and twilight drakes which we know NOTHING about. Even the blue drakes which we are at war with have mounts! Two to be correct. We have black drakes which is kind of surprising and a frost wyrm mount has been found also. With so far into the beta it surprises me that blizzard hasnt done this already.

Edit: Please note at the time of this post information on twilight drakes had not been released. and it was during beta. Currently 3.2.0. Still no green drake mount :( but now they are adding a drake mount from the new onxiya which is slightly irritating as they have still currently skipped one of the main dragonflights.

This is the Healing drake found in the Occulus. You find these drakes after fighting Drakos the Interrogator, the first boss of the instance. While I may be wrong, the only boss you may use the drakes on in the final boss, Ley-Guardian Eregos. You may freely choose which drake to use, regardless of your gear, spec, or class. These Drakes use the new vehicle system, and are therefore NOT considered mounts.

Taking the Emerald Drake (Healer) will grant you its abilties:

Leeching Poison (60 yds) - Instant - Poisons the enemy dragon, leeching 1300 to the caster every 2 sec. for 12 sec. Stacks up to 3 times.

Touch of Nightmare (60 yds) - Instant - Consumes 30% of the caster's max health to inflict 25,000 nature damage to an enemy dragon and reduce the damage it deals by 25% for 30 sec.

The third ability you do not have access to until you kill the 3rd boss, Mage-Lord Urom

Dream Funnel (60 yds) - Channeled - Transfers 5% of the caster's max health to a friendly drake every second for 10 seconds as long as the caster channels.

For anyone here for info on using this drake effectively: your number one priority is to keep three stacks of leech poison on the boss at all times. Then keep your party topped off with dream funnel. Unlike most character channeled spells, there's no up front cost to dream funnel, so it costs you nothing to break it off early to refresh your poison duration. Note that the poison has a travel time, so if you fire it just before the duration runs out your stack will fall off and you'll have to build it up again.

Theoretically you can keep Touch the Nightmare up on the boss at all times as well, but I haven't found it necessary in any of the groups I've been in. I just use it to throw in a bit of extra damage when everyone's topped off already. I haven't done any of the void achievements, so maybe it's more vital there.
