And I was gonna buy 100 of these babies for 15g each 2 weeks ago cause I heard the rumor of something with void crystal and large pris shard :/ now they are like 28g which was the price of large pris shards 2 weeks ago. Apparently the prices change even before the patch comes. Any idea on when it will be coming?

Patch 2.4.1 ~~it has a 1 day cooldown.~~

EDIT: as of patch 2.4.2 there is no longer a cool down on the enchant.

Patch 2.4.1 ~~It also requires the 375 enchanting rod, despite being able to learn the enchant at 360..~~

EDIT: as of patch 2.4.2 this pattern correctly requires 375 enchanting and the 375 enchanting rod.

Can anyone please confirm whether this gives skill points in Enchanting?
My guess is it will be gray at 360 skill in order to prevent easy skill gains like Small>Large Prismatic Shard fusions.

You will be able to level from 360-365 with this, but since it has 1 day cooldown and only for 5 levels, goes green at 362, you will probably only get 1-2 skill ups from this.

go buy your void crystals if your server's prices are stupid like mine! (selling in between 12 and 18g per).. many people still don't know about this! khadgar sells large prismatic shards in between 20 and 25g.. each void crystal is like 2 large prismatics. think about the g you'd be saving!

sucks about the cooldown.. i have 75 void crystals sitting in the bank atm. just bought 40 for 600g

they did that so u can't get easy skill ups by doing this enchant, because lets face it this if it wasn;t it would mean a certain skillup every 24 hours (to a max of 375 in TBC). it was made to fix the market not to provide easy skilling up

other enchants that had this problem (being trainable at a lower level than the required rod allowed) have been changed, so this might be a mistake to be changed in the future.

The usefulness of this Formula isn't limited to economy balance. My former guild had an over-abundance of Void Crystals in its guild bank. After this enchant came out, our guild master started having members split the crystals into Large Prismatic Shards, which are used a lot more often for enchanting (36 enchants) than the crystals (9 enchants, minus Void Shatter). Before too long, we had space in our guild bank again.

As a side note, even if you count all the recepies from every profession that use these two mats, the Large Prismatic Shards are still used more often than the Void Crystals.

A no brainier for enchanters to grab this, considering on my server that voids sell for 2g 50s ish and Large Prismatic Shards sell for 9g each... a great way to get a steady income... but keep it on the downlow, k? ;)

this pattern needs the rod that you cannot make until 375 so don't bother with it until you have 375 chanting
