True redk, 12 dodge rating is better for druids and paladins if the aim is stacking dodge since it grants 0,634% dodge (the same for all the classes).

The dodge gained from agility varies per class however. The dodge gained from the 12 agility enchant will be as followed:

0,816% for druids
0,48% for paladins
0,4% for warriors

However this may still not leave out the 12 agility enchant for warriors and paladins since it also gives armor and crit, so depending on your function you may still choose for the 12 agility

put this on my lvl 10 war, according to RatingBuster it should be 26% dodge, but according to my dodge rating in my defense skills, it says its only 2%. 2% seems very low to me for lvl 10 since it's 2% at 19. i know +5 block rating is definitely 26% block chance at lvl 10 which is another reason 2% for 12 dodge seems low.

With the new Defense to cloak enchant that came out with the Shattered Sun Offensive rep, this is still better for pure avoidance if you have already reached the uncrittable range. If not, then the Defense to cloak will still give you a bit of avoidance while helping you reach the important 480 defense.

As of 10 minutes ago this still works on lower level items. I enchanted a Miners Cape with it no problem(min 14, ilvl 19), didn't even need a Vellum.

I aquired this formula from the quatermaster in lower city.

I just (2th august 09) enchanted a level 19 twink who had item level below 35 with this enchant, and his dodge rating increased which gave him more dodge %.

My tooltip says level 35 is required, but it seems to have no effect.

good to finally see enchants like this coming out, and for cloaks no less. still as a rogue i'd prefer the Stealth Enchant over the dodge. no need to give warriors another 1% to overpower us.

now if they come out with a stealth enchant for the boots...

As a rogue, when you already have 30%+ to dodge you are going to be overpowered all the time anyway.
If you think this is not good for a rogue you must also think using evasion against a warrior is dumb...

Clearly they meant that with +1% dodge on your own cloak, a warrior pvping *against* you would have an additional 1% chance to use overpower.

That said, that is essentially a 1% chance against one out of the eight classes you could fight against pre-BC that they would basically have an additional 50% chance of critically hitting you for 120% bonus damage (assuming full arms spec). Thus, if say 1/2 of warriors who pvp go the 2h-overpower route, that's a 0.5% chance of having a 50% additional chance of taking a little over double damage. Overall, your pvp damage intake would be increased from warriors by about 0.3%, while your damage intake from all other physical damage classes would be decreased by 1%.

All that said, if you spend the 200 or so gold for the mats for this enchant for PVP, you're an idiot.

1% more dodge is a great thing, maybe warriors have 1% more chance of getting a overpower but still using evasion and gaining 50% more dodge against a warrior is actually a good thing, you'll avoid all his normal attacks and only recieve overpower, yes that hurts like hell but remember, overpower got cooldown, normal swings don't... So a tip for every rogue reading this, get as much dodge as you can, it will be a great thing against rogues too!

This is amazing for tanks killing bosses in raids. Dodge = not getting hit. Not getting hit = healers save mana. It's all about survivability.

Sure, maybe it's good for Rogues in PvP, but don't be a noob and say it's strictly for Rogues only.

i am lvl 39druid twink, yet to get any enchnats n still have a 23%tocrit and a 30% chance to dodge >:} just wait till i get the other 500g to get the enchnats muahaha! rogues shall dash awway and i shall dash with em!

As of patch 2.2, this recipe is now available from the lower city quartmaster. Previously it was only available as a AQ drop.

12+ agility is by far better for druids.

Not only does the agility enchant give avoidance, but it also gives a good bit of armor in bear form, and armor is very important for bear tanks.

Clearly the +12 Agility is better, but unless you have a lot of money to level engineering and get the Parachute Cloak, your best option as a lvl 19 or 29 twink is this enchant.

At lvl 29 it adds +2.47% Dodge, at level 19 it adds 4.72% Dodge, and for fun I found that it adds 26% for a level 1.

base * (level - 8) / 52

Dodge Base rating value: 12

12 * (29 - 8) / 52 = 4.85

12 / 4.85 = 2.47%

12 * (19 - 8) / 52 = 2.54

12 / 2.54 = 4.72%

12 * (10 - 8) / 52 = 0.46

12 / 0.46 = 26.09%

This enchant costs on average 164 gold 67 silver based on thottbots average cost for the mats. Initially it is a fair penny, so maybe its worth your time to level engineering and get a better enchant on your cloak, just my 2 cents.

Did they change this or what? I gathered these mats only to find out it requires: 3 Small Prismatic Shards, 3 Greater Planar Essence and 8 Primal Earth! WTF! I hope I can sell the guardian stones... ugh.

ok i need to know if there really is 2 different versiions of this same enchantment... one that requires a level 35 or + item

and one that does NOT require a level 35+ item... just to know if i can still do some sort of dungeon when i reach lv 80 to have the recipe drop...

i am told that the 35+ enchant version is sold by a vendor...
and the other which drops in dungeons is the one that has no level requirement...

confirmation would be greatly appreciated ... thank you

I would like to know too. My 19 twink still has this enchant on the cloak but I got it a year ago before the lvl 35 requirement.
