The way it is looking this might be the Molten core of BC , in terms of craftable gear with drops from a certain area only .
but these shoulders are very nice to have , you might not use the spell haste alot but the rest of the stats are very very good in my opinion , i might try and obtain it on my priest

Spell haste is getting buffed in patch 2.2 from 21 to 15.7 Spell Haste rating = 1% cast time reduction at Level 70.

This item:

2.1 = 1.28% reduction in cast time @ 70

2.2 = 1.72% reduction in cast time @ 70

Alittle under PMC in tems of pure +overheals, this makes up for it in ample spirit and some spell haste.

I'm buying the hearts for it right now to make one... now I just need a belt...

This is probably the one of the powerful healing pieces in the game. Spell haste IMO is the most important stat, then healing bonus, then mp/5.

The only question is how much a heart of darkness is worth... and are they only from Black Temple?

I Agree, spell haste is so very great! its not even funny. but.. this so far is one of the only pieces of healing gear i've seen with spell haste. anyone know of any other pieces that give spell haste for healers?

Frankly I don't see haste rating as all that wonderful for a healer, especially when its so expensive for a caster. Maybe after the spellhaste buff (if it goes live) it might be more viable, but right now you lose too many other things to get a reasonable amount. Its rare that you would have to chain cast top rank heals for max hps, and as far as I can see that's where spellhaste is most useful.

Obviously this is for certain types of fights where spam healing is critical.

You would not wear these for every fight.

Most competant healers at the t6 level will want several sets of gear, including a haste set for fights with a lot of spam healing, a stamina set for fights with large burst damage (naj'entus), a mp5 set for fights with rather long engagement and nearly constant casting (tidewalker) and many other SITUATIONAL ITEMS.

This, combined with the swiftmend bracers, the belt from kaz'rogal and the BT trash ring are quite potent in maximizing HPS at the expense of other conveniences.
