I'm glad they didn't forget the Elemental Shamans.

These goggles might even beat the tier 5 Cataclysm headpiece. 35 spell crit probably beats 25 Intellect with the Elemental Focus talent. One percent more crit chance is 1% more mana efficiency and 1.6% damage, worth more then the extra mana/crit from intellect. I generally base my choice of item on it's AC, but the focus advantage plus looks definately makes it worth getting. The material cost is lower then I expected.

Nope, the stats are:

+28 Stamina
Socket Bonus: +5 Spell Damage
Equip: Improves spell hit rating by 12.
Equip: Improves spell critical strike rating by 40.
Equip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 55.

The Use-function also has no cooldown and works way cooler than Far Sight. :)

Like all the new epic engineering goggle, the recipe for these are only learnable if you are the correct class. Ie, hunters, shamans for these. The recipe will not be listed at the trainer if you are any other class.

Paladins who are thinking about leveling engineering to craft these will have to look elsewhere, as they will not be able to learn it.

Great Burst damage, Place an int gem in this or more spell damage on it and It'll work a treat. :D
While the Stam is kind of lacking, this works really well for pvp and still is useable for pve. Just made it today too!

Paladins can not craft Gadgetstorm Goggles, they can however make:

+ the upgraded versions of them.

edit: This comment used to have listing of plate goggles but something in Wowhead's code has changed during the past five years.

Atleast a GOOD boost for engineers.
This item is decigned for elemental shammans and vill come to a good use.
First i didnt understand whi there wasnt any intellect on it but then i saw the high crit and crit=reduced mana use for shamans and a boost to damage.

For pvp this wil be one of the best head in the game together with gladiator head with a 12+stam on it and for pve the lag of int is a big problem but with a 2mana 5sec sucket it will stil be wery good.

do you people even play ele shaman? 1.8% more crit is 1.018 X 0.6(clearcasting) = 0.6% more mana. for example you got 10k mana, this helm will save you 600 mana over ur total pool. copy the maths and find out what gives more mana, regen or critrating. Hope this helps.

none of you have ever done a raid boss before if you think ele shammys dont need spell hit I rememeber doing prince with no spell hit a while back and he resisted half of my spells nowadays I have 70 spell hit and when I did him the other night out of the whole fight he only resisted 5spells. Just wanted to let all you people out there know how much spell hit actually helps.

Not a big fan of meta sockets since meta sockets replace to regular sockets on a normal occasion with headpieces. It isn't a bad bit of gear for mages by any means, int can be added to other places if needed.

The reason why the guy said that spell hit is useless for ele shamans is because were given talents that allow us to get the maximum spell hit for pvp (4%)

Also could someone answer the guy about whether the pattern is a drop or from a trainer?

You need to be an engineer to wear them...

And even if they didn't say 'requires engineering (350)', they're still bind on pickup. so you can only make yourself a pair.
