This is an excellent Paladin retribution item. It can easily last you to level 70 and is still hard to replace. Any paladin looking to gear for retribution should make doing the quest for this a priority. The other quest rewards may tempt a paladin, but none of them have the lasting value of this. The PvP shoulders available at level 70 are hardly any better, except that they have sockets. Relative to your other gear, this would be such a small upgrade that it's probably the last thing you would look to replace. So, we're back at square one: this can easily last you through to level 70.

These can be replaced by Salvaged Ango'rosh Pauldrons (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=25557) in Nagrand, but you'll be losing crit rating and spell and healing damage. You will gain more int, stam, and strength though.
