These provide a decent amount of feral attack power for cat druids. These obviously also benefit druid tanks with the improved chance to hit via hit rating and expertise ratingl. Overall a very good piece for any druid, worth picking up.

We have added a new stat and associated rating called expertise and expertise rating. Expertise rating converts to expertise at the same rate that weapon skill rating formerly converted at. Each point of expertise reduces the chance for your attacks to be dodged or parried by 0.25%.

The new debate is whether Expertise is useful for Kitties. Shapeshifter's Signet WAS the best ring in the game, due to the perfect amount of FCR it provided. Now, many Druids are saying it is next to useless. Solid comparisions would be helpful, including the new "ideal stats" DPS classes should be aiming for.

These pants now give a straight up 1% reduction to dodge, and 1% reduction to parry, it's effectively providing you with 2% hit that exceeds the hit cap. Of course if you're attacking from behind, it's only 1%, but it's still fantastically good.

1.125% less dodge chance (for enemy)
1.125% less parry (for enemy)

For dualwielders reduced dodge chance is better than hit, because you'll get the full benefit to both your special attacks and white damage, even after your yellow attacks are hit capped. With the clefthoof you'll also get an extra 3 ap and 3 agility if you have blessing of kings. For soloing the clefthoof wins by a mile due to the increased dodge chance and reduced parry chance. For pve dps where parry doesn't matter, these are probably still slightly better for a rogue.

This isn't effective as of patch 2.3, all weapon skill and feral skill have been swapped with expertise, which per 1 expertise (not rating) will give your enemies 0.25% less chance of dodging or parrying your attacks. ( + - )

These are VERY good legs for enhancement shamans now that they have expertise rating.

For T5 itemization, these legs produce an EP of 203.8, wheras T5 leggings ( https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30192 ) produce an EP of 205.2 gemmed with +8 str.

For T6 itemization, these legs produce an EP of 202.7, T5 leggings produce an EP of 200.8, and T6 leggings ( https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=31021 ) produce an EP of 226.6.

Of course, items like https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30900 and https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=34928 are better than all of them, 265.4 and 263.2 respectively (for T6).

Oh, and Sunwell gear, of course.

Regardless, these leggings are DEFINITELY worth using. Expertise is amazing.

I got these leggings this week, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that despite the name, it's actually a kilt! It looks very druid-ish with lots of browns and greens. Great stats, and I finally look more like a druid and less like a rogue wannabe. Props to Bliz for allowing feral druids to be a little more fashion-forward :)

I usually don't use rogue items for my feral druid, and favor strength over attack power... but here the + def rating got me,(i found and equipped them). Now I see these Clefhoof leggings on the AH and i feel bad...

your opinion please?

Why did Blizzard make two items with the same name?

I like the ones with Int just for the extra mana for general use, but for full feral/cat, go with the quest reward.

Not really sure what the Feral Combat Skill rating does.

I was given the BoE Clefthoof hide leggings from a guildie and equipped them as soon as I was high enough. I was pleased.

A few days ago, I was questing in Blade's Edge for the tank boots, and saw these legs with the same name as a quest reward. First, I was confused. Then I laughed.

FYI, to make things even sillier, the BoE legs are actual legs; but the quest reward is a kilt!

This quest is still bugged as of 27.03.07.

There has been some reports of beeing able to trick the event so that Rexxar will come, but not confirmed afaik.

What a shame as it is one of the best druid cat-leggings ingame atm.

Learn to care less about your appearances. Assassination set is good, but it doesn't give STR. Any druid that has more AP gear than str, it's a druid that doesn't understand game machanics so well.
STR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AP, always. With HoTW you get 20% more in cat, an with SoTF more 3%. 23%+str.
Anyway, it's a though fight between these and shattrath leggings. Clefthoof hide provides less str, feral skill and little stamina, but gives more agi and a whopping 17 hit rating which is best for pvp imho. Choice's up to you, i went for the "ridiculous skirt", and i have to say that yet i'm tremendously cool :)

Midnight legguards are slightly worse than this but I have them and its 10 ap less and an epic. I'd just stick with midnight legguards since I'm getting 20 more stam from the sockets.

As feral druid I usually tank in instances so such leggins for PvP mostly. In PvP I already have +5% hit from items so this hit is not really needed vs targets of 70 and less. Feral skill looks more for raiding too.

So minor AP and armor increase VS 21 stamina...

Enhancement Shaman legs hands down! lol

Wearing these on my shammy, it's my last blue.. but i just can't seem to find anything better. These legs are just godly itemized. I wish my T4 or S1 enhancement legs would look more like it instead of having mp5 on them :(

FOR THE HORDE... the quest starts off a drop - Thunderlord Clan Artifact. Took forever to figure out how to start this. I highly recommend picking up 刀塔的威胁 After about 10 kills, I grabbed a passing raptor, and it dropped the tablet. From there, follow the comments with coords in that quest line. Best of luck.
