It's just me, or is it NUTS that there is NO level requirement to equip this staff! You mean, I could see a level 19 twink healing in the battlegrounds with this thing? Wow, nerf incoming, methinks.

Still trying to find out where it comes from.

Fantastic druid staff, our group has DE'ed the Serpentine Staff from Steamvaults (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27791) several times because none of our healers want to replace this. Serpentine's spirit helps out tree form druids a bit better than this one, but I'd rather have the massive mana pool and 10mp5 and higher PVP usefulness.

The quest line is pretty long however, and it is very easy for your guild/group to get fragmented while on it.

Easiest way to get this staff is to do as many of the pre-reqs as possible, solo. Then, assemble a decent 5 man group of level 68's or higher, and just spend an hour doing the elite portions of it, and everyone will get a very decent blue item out of it.

This is a great staff, and a great looking staff, but I'm not sure that it is better than Serpentine Staff (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27791). I kept this over the serpentine because of the MP5 and int, but the +healing and spirit on the other would be nice.

Replaced this with the Seer's Cane https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=29133 once I hit revered with the Scryers. That staff is the main reason I chose Scryers over Aldor. The Seer's cane is a clear upgrade, but I really like the way this looks much better.

As a quest reward, this staff and Severin's Cane (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32830) are great for druids who are feral and need/want to heal as well as you won't have any use for any of the other rewards.. except for the other staff-reward from this quest if you want to up your spell dps.

they removed the extra set of quotes in patch 2.4

first set is for "it is now as it should be..." and "spirit of earth" now in 2.4 there is only one set of quotes

I have a priest and I am stuck. I don't know which staff to use, out of these 3 staves which one is better?:

For scryer healers, grab the Seer's Cane, a direct upgrade of 1 int, 1 stam, and a few +heals, easily available at rev. w/scryers.

Since there is little difference in healing/dps stats (from 3.0.2) im pretty sure most casters (with enough spell crit) will choose this staff over the other one. Just for the looks :)

Enchants do NOT show up on this staff. I put Scroll of Enchant Staff- Spellpower for the Spellpower and the purple glow would match it and it didn't show up. Ima Resto Druid too

There's an altar in the central west section of Shadowmoon Valley where a scene contiually plays out with Gul'dan sundering the tie between his people and the land. There there are some elementalists that start this questline, thought there might be prequests at the alliance/horde towns directing you to this altar.
Be prepared -- this is a long quest chain and you'll need a group for the last parts.

One of the unlisted rewards from The Cipher of Damnation, you only see the rewards when you turn in the quest - since there is no Feral item, I took this one for offhealing :)

At level 68 you can accept the first part of the Cipher of Damnation quest from Earthmender Torlok. I won't post a whole guide on doing the quest, but these are the rewards from the final step:

Amulet of the Torn-heart (FR neck)

And a choice of one of the following:

Borak's Reminder (1.8 dagger with agi/hit/ap)
Grom'tor's Charge (1.6 1H axe with lots of sta and some agi/defense)
Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-heart (2.6 bow with agi/ap)
Oronok's Ancient Scepter (staff with sta/int/spell crit/spell dmg)
Staff of the Redeemer (staff with sta/int/healing/mana per 5)
Torn-heart Axe of Battle (3.3 2H axe with str/sta/spell crit/melee crit/spell dmg)

Got mine last night.A very long chain quest but the alst step is not that hard.Gather a 5 man party with a good tank and a healer and the sstaff is yours.At the end you will get a mail that is required for a pre-quest..i am not sure which one though...

I hav this staff I fell in love with it the moment I got it it was way better than my benediction ^.^ but now I found the serpentcrest liferod from steamvaults and I have a question...

Is the spirit worth losing the stats and all the mana regen? Spirit kinda nice because it betters my healing/regen but mana regen also needed for long fight were i need 2 cast alot... What do you guys think?

I have the staff of redeemer but I would love to take serpentcrest anytime... hands down serpentcrest wins!

For a priest, mana regen is #1 I don't know the calculation of 46 spirit vs. 10mana per 5sec, but with 227 +healing... it's very attractive.
