The pants themselves are very nice Hunter pants, but Beastlord or Scaled Greaves of Patience are much better. Those 2 don't have as much AP but have more Agi, Intel, and actually have Stamina. The Scaled Greaves also have sockets for even better stats. Though I suppose these could make a very nice pair to tide you over until you can get either of those 2.

My hunter would have taken these as the quest reward however I took the chest instead (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30933), even though it's leather, because it was a pretty massive upgrade from my dragonstalker tunic. Plus, the RPer in me likes to have matching sets. :)
