The entire Cipher of Damnation quest line,

along with other amazing bear tank items, these are obtained by quests in Shadowmoon Valley.
The Cipher of Damnation chain gives this pair and a great belt. https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30942
Pants are obtained from undead arakoa quests. https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30941
Last but not least at all are the Verdant gloves https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30943 obtained from a quest which starts at either Aldor or Scryer camp with gathering some tablets from the ruins of Baa'ri.
It ends up with an Arcatraz run, and a group quest.
If u'r a druid u can't miss Shadowmoon Valley!

These are probably actually better than Veteran's Leather Bracers for tanking, sure it's(in Bear Form) 91 less HP(tauren), -0.7% dodge and +0.38% to be crit, but the 470 armor difference might make this worth it.

Also worthy to note that these are excellent bracers for Enchancement Shamans. Mail physical dps bracers suffer from splitting stats into intellect and mp5, two things an enchancement shaman does not need a lot of.

The extra armor on these bracers more than compensates for their "Leather" armor class, and the stats result in good AP and Crit rating, along with solid stamina.

If you don't need the gloves as an upgrade, consider these bracers well.

atm you can get Band of the Swift Paw with a measly 35 marks to upgrade this

1282 armor in bear form i think, not sure how thick hide is multiplied, so im not even going to try.

about 18k-19k armor. still wearing alot of old gear, armor rings from HF Citadel, a few Field Marshal peices of gear, high armor shadowmoon valley greens. when i start doing karazhan i should work towards 25k armor buffed.

21k, still 6% crit reduction, 24% dodge.
need new rings, back , gloves and this.
will be 24k pre raid / heroic.

i hit 26k buffed, or 24k unbuffed in my armor gear.. when im in my ap gear i hit 1980 ap in cat, 1600 in bear, in my stamina gear i hit 12k hp buffed in cow form and 17.6k in bear :) i love it

I'm not completely sure which quests are required to grab the Umberhowl quest line, so I have included the entire chain. Keep checking at Tobias the Filth Gorger if you do not wish to complete all of these.

Alliance: To begin this chain, speak to Earthmender Sophurus (36,57 Shadowmoon), who will give you the following:

I took the leather shoes since i was currently geared for dps and i wonder if there is any other's that is equal almost as good as these for feral tanking?

For those earlier bragging about 20k armor...

I'm currently at:

28k armor
31% dodge
15k hp unbuffed
Crit-immune
27% crit.

:)

I do need these bracers though.. using Veteran's Dragonhide atm. *Shudders*

You guys saying you have 20k armor pre-raid, HOW? I have 3/3 Strength of the Clefthoof, Manimal's Cinch, Unberhowls Collar, Verdant Gloves, the tanking cloak from Black Morass, and I'm only on 17.5k. Do you all have Earthwarden already? cos that's the only thing I could think of that'll bump me another 2.5k
