Yeah...my inital thought was, "Hey, that's pretty nice!". Then I looked at the Mask of Inner Fire that my shaman is wearing.

Great as long as you didn't upgrade your gear since level 60...

You're an idiot. The item is obviously from the Little Red Riding Hood event in Karazhan so no, the name isn't unoriginal and stupid.

And yes it is Shaman gear. Any Hunter that would take this, especially now that Arcane Shot DOES NOT benefit from spell damage, is a moron.

So i took my hunter instead of my mage for this particular event hoping either the gun or the weapon to drop, but this crap o !@#$ droped for my hunter and the epic cloth leggings for the clothies. let me tell you i was about to strangle the bastard.

No we didnt shard it. a pally took it instead. so w.e lol

This is a most disapointing head piece. dont understand why its even in there. Bliz prolly just thought, hey lets screw with the hunters and shammies.

Although this helm isn't spectacular, the crit is sweet, the stats are high, and the dmg is good. Not as good as other drops, but not screwed.

Simply put, about half of Karazhan is really not worth the effort. Many rares are comparable. Karazhan is that 1% upgrade to get you to the higher bosses for the nice stuff. Yes, some of the lower bosses drop nice stuff, but for the most part, it's pretty lame. Blizzard is a master at tricking people into choosing loot based on the color of the name... :(

Well if you look at it this way, it'll probably replace whatever gear you have when you go into Kara if you're an elemental shaman. It isn't incredible, but hey an upgrade is an upgrade. Crit is good for shamans, and a head piece with 28 crit points isn't something to #$%^& about. Let's see another helm aside from T4 or T5 that has better stats.

This helm is much, much better then the level 68 blue you get in shadowmoon valley. +30 more stamina AND int. is easily the deciding factor of which helm is better... The incredible stats that this helm has easily makes up for the fact that it has no sockets. Remember.. just because an item doesn't have sockets doesn't mean it = suck.

This headpiece is far from being terrible. Although before the recent patch, the blue linked above may have been on par or perhaps even better, the buffs to this thing make it perfect. The stats are great, both for survivability and putting out damage longer, and the equip effects are great.

Since Elemental Shamans have an ability similar to a Paladin's Illumination Effect, they gain mana back on a successful offensive spell critical cast. This means I'd be saving a lot of mana on those long boss fights, especially since I seem to run out of it a little too soon, and force a pot. It also adds decent + Spell Damage and Healing now, so I really don't get what all the complaining is about. It's a great helm for an easy effort at the theatre event in there.

Nice Helm.. looks kinda stupid but my friend got it and he said he liked it in looks and in stats.. but there are better epics out there.
