It might be worth mentioning that these are potentially the highest stamina boots out there. Between gems and enchants, these can have as high as 63 stamina. Beyond the few people who like their stamina that much, though, they're better off as void crystals.

Yeah.... I agree, this item is pretty disapointing. I just got them and think I'll stick with my Shattrath Jumpers. Grats to me on void crystal. :(

These boots are being changed in 2.1.0. Stamina will be reduced to 24 but will pick up and aditional spell critical strike rating by 16 on equip.

Funny, I have seen these drops several times off of maiden and I just passed on them to our shadow priests and locks.

Now when I actually want them seem to be unlucky : (

I have been trying to get these boots forever.
Our guild on Lightning's Blade has been running Kara for 3 months and these boots have not dopped yet for anybody, let alone me.

you can socket them imbaly if you pvp 2 days in a row .. and on an a BG weekend ..

grind 6550 honor pts for the epic +12 spell dmg red gem

and 8k something or the +6 spell dmg and +5 to crit rating ORANGE gem ..

socket them .. and you'll get a niiiice :

1. + 18 spell dmg

2. + 5 to crit rating ..

3. + 3 int ..

which is very lovely ..

an enchant is a must tbh ^^ .. i got it last night .. /kiss

I'm thinking these boots are only slightly better than the Ruby Slippers (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28585#comments), but would like some opinions from others.

Socketed with two Veiled Topaz, and then compared with the Slippers would result in the following:
- 6 sta
- 3 int
- 8 hit
+ 19 crit
+1 damage

These aren't outstanding, but they're a slight direct upgrade over Shattrath Jumpers, a Shadow Labyrinth quest reward. (The spell damage might be lower, but you trade a blue gem socket for red, which is worth a few points of it.)

After patch 2.0.10 I sharded the slippers of course. Well at least these epic boots are now better than the blue slippers, as should be. Before the patch, I used these boots for PvP with +12stam gems. now I'll probably put some +9 spell damage gems in them instead for my DPS gear. :)

Got em today from Maiden.

Nobody really wanted them, but someone had to take em :P
Even fully socketed, blues from 5 man are almost the same or better.

Better boots avaliable from one of the rare animal bosses. Once dropped some cloth boots "of the invoker" with really great damage/crit.
Edit: ( Glider's Foot-Wraps of the Invoker : 26int, 30 spell dmg, 26 spell crit rating )

I keep seeing everyone say that they wouldnt use these over the Shattrath Jumpers.. but is everyone forgetting about the Sigil-Laced Boots! (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28406/魔符长靴) I personally think these boots are way better than the jumpers, yeah they're 9 spell dmg less, but with 2 potent noble topaz.. they have 30 spell dmg, and a whopping 25 crit.. imo that is way better than the jumpers.. and these boots for that matter.

But I did get them, and socket with 12 stam, and 6 spelldmg 6 stam gem for pvp purposes so meh.. plus they are probably gonna buff them eventually.

Well they took the first guy's advice

Adding 16 spell crit rating to these boots in 2.1
time to go grab a pair and ditch your silent slippers of meditation, which happen to be getting their crit rating removed. qq

I don't know. I joined a PUG Kara and these dropped and got them DKP free (who uses DKP in Kara anyhow?). They seem better than the Jumpers... with my gems, total stats:

+39 sta
+26 int
+40 spell damage
+19 crit
+4 hit
