These leggings are one of the rewards obtained from a very lengthy questline which starts from Greatmother Geyah in Garadar. Similar superior quality leggings include:

Unfortunately, it's a Horde only quest due to things like the quest steps consisting of Thrall's lore and even perhaps the "blood" relationship between the Mag'har and the Horde.

However, you must first complete the 3 following quest chains to receive it: (in addition to being level 66+ of course)

1) The Blademaster chain - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=10107 (should be solo-able)

2) Altruis the Demon Hunter chain - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=9983 (a party is recommended)

3) The Murkblood quests (murkblood invaders https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=9872 as well as the escort quest out of sunspring village) (should be solo-able)

Although this may seem alot, the completion of all these questlines are definitely worth it. Not only do they each offer superior quality rewards, reward alot of gold, give out a tremendous amount of EXP and rep points with the Mag'har, there is also a fascinating lore behind Thrall's Greatmother.

These are the best DPS quest leggings available in the game for a Beast Master Hunter having a set of nicely balenced stats including Ag, Ap, Int, and Hit.

The only potential upgrades and/or sidegrades are

Drop from Netherspite in Kara https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=28740
Drop from Normal/Heroic Old Hillsbrad https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27430
Drop from Heroic Underbog https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27773
Drop from Heroic Old Hillsbrad https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=30534

and even then, most only give 2-3 DPS more once you add up the stats and compare them on Cheekies BM hunter's spreadsheets. The 102 Attack power from these pants are hard to beat.

Other options like Beast Lord, are 10 DPS less, although give nice Stam and MP5, Greaves of Desolation is 4 DPS less. In short, even though it's a long quest chain, it's worth the trouble for both of the nice rewards.

I believe these are from the Horde quest chain the eventually leads in Thrall's journey to Garadar. Will update with more information when I finally figure out how to make it happen.

As Horde, once you complete all the quests in Nagrand, you visit the Greatmother in Garadar Inn and it starts a 14 step quest chain that ends with Step 14: Hero of the Mag'har. All those completing receive:

17,950 exp.

2,000 rep with mag'har

Everyone will receive - Insignia of the Mag'hari Hero

Given a choice between -

Mag'hari Huntsman's Leggings

Mag'hari Ritualist's Horns

Mag'hari Scout's Tunic

Mag'hari Warlord's Legplates

Really nice PvE leggings. The quest chain however is quite lengthy to obtain them, so it's hard to say if they are worth it; but you do get a nice neck piece as well.

End of the greatmother chain. To do that, finish all mag'har quests in nagrand, including the ones involving the blademaster, the escort quest at sunspring post, and also the camp quests from teh demonhunter. THen you can get the greatmother chain. Gets you this and a hot necklace.

This chain is only available for Horde. I wish there was a way of thottbot telling you this. As of yet I havnt found a suitable Alliance replacement.

I'm an enhancement shaman, so AP and hit rating is very important to me. But I currently have the Scale Leggings of the Skirmisher which have roughly 5 - 6 STA, INT and AGI points higher than these. On top of that 3 slots where I've added AP, more Stamina and some Hit Rating points plus an 8 STA enchantment was added.

Any suggestions? The only improvements to this over my own are the attack power, which would go up by about 40, and my hit rating that would go up by about 11.
