This is actually a pretty neat toy for me as a warlock. It is effected by fel armor, and it can crit (for around 300 and change). It's a nice supplement to drain life for grinding.

I also like this trinket very much when I'm grinding mobs 2-3 levels lower than me on my rogue. It lowers the downtime nicely.

This item works with Rogue quick recovery, so it hits 240. Pretty sick for mutilate rogues..

I'm suprised no one's noticed it yet.

You get 200 Health with this. The other one gives you 200 Mana.

In Super Mario World, you get 200 points for stomping a Goomba.

I have it on my warlock as well, and I like it very much =D
It is affected by Fel Armor so normal heals are 240 and crits are 360 (actually crits about 25% of the time for me). Like someone else said, if your pet gets the killing blow it doesn't proc. I also found out that sacrificing your Void Walker causes it to proc.
NOTE: This ONLY procs if YOU deal the killing blow, therefore this is not ideal for grouping.

this is a really crappy item, as a warrior you have like a minimum 6k at that level. and for mages that has like 3k at that level, cant rly find any use of that. and whats the deal with warlocks? i thought their pet was the tanker? so,when are you gonna need 200hp when you have like full cause your pet tanked(same goes for hunter). 200 hp isnt rly much.... another thing is that its healing has cd. thats really bad, as for me as a warrior i take at least 2 mobs at a time...

A must have item for any warlock as it helps farming by a 1000%

Combine with this trinket https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27416#comments and you have unlimited health/mana.

For affliction warlocks this isn't so great as you have improved drain soul and dark pact to recover your mp but for me a 23/38 warlock who has nether of those this is a godsend so I don't have any downtime while farming.

For me it seems to crit quite often aroung 15-20% but might be tied to your crit rating as well, mine is 11% and i might have gotten a lucky streak.

From the perspective of a feral druid who may someday go balance, is it wise to pass up the +200mana trinket? How good does that prove to be for a balance druid in either certain farming or certain raiding situations? With imp LotP and some combination of:

Darkmoon Card: Heroism
Mark of Conquest (alliance)
Uther's Strength

it seems as though the +200hp trinket wouldn't actually provide much value to the feral druid whereas the +200mana trinket might be very useful in some situations to the balance druid. Please advise.

Fun fact : This also procs when you 'kill' your demon with Demonic Sacrifice, (not the VW skill). Found this out totally by accident while bombing fel cannons in BEM, and sacrificing my felguard since he was gonna die anyway.

With rank 1 fel armor, 3/3 demonic aegis, i get healed for 252, crit healed for 378. very nice while grinding as a demonology warlock since 10sec easily passes b4 the next mob dies!

Edit: I still get healed when my pet lands the KB, so this must have been fixed at some point.

2nd Edit: Just to add, I can also confirm it procs when you use Demonic Sacrifice. Also it procs when your pet kills a mob completley w/o you're help, like when u get no loot. Just two interesting points which makes this a very useful grinding tool!

Sometimes has latent effect. Looking at Combat Log, often heals 4 or 5 seconds after killing target.

Note: May be because of shared cooldown with Improved Leader of Pack, seeing as I am feral druid.

Edit: If it does not proc, going into Prowl will make it proc.

Note that you don't actually have to get exp or honor from the kill. I killed something tapped by a member of the opposite faction and got a heal from this.

Yep, you dont have to "gain experience" for the trinket proc. More accurately, it procs when you kill someone within your exp/honor range. Which means you can use it while grinding at high levels.
I'm an ud rogue and I use this while grinding. It's just great. I already get low damage becouse I stun mobs all the time and the little damage I get is healed by this. I don't have to use bandage, food and not even cannibalize!

It's hard to imagine this being so useful for an affliction lock. At 63 (haven't done the quest yet), I have over 6300 health (with imp). So a 3-4% health return just doesn't seem like the best use of a precious trinket slot, even while soloing, when there are so many trinkets competing for space. Simple +damage trinkets, defensive trinkets (hey, I may wear cloth, but I'm undoubtably a tank) and still-hot-damn-fun trinkets (not just for pvp!), to name a few... Personally, I'd rather have the 1g and a free bag slot than struggle with when 3% health return is better than +29 damage.

This isn't at all good in PvP, 200 health is very little gain in an environment when you are constantly taking a lot more. This is more of a farming/grinding trinket, lets you go for longer intervals of time between killing mobs.

Do you have to get the killing blow for this effect to work? Or does it just work when you get xp or honor as long as you hit whatever dies at least once?
