Are these Heroic drops?

These do drop off of Warlord Kalithresh, but they are only about a 10% drop rate and the shoulders are a little bit lower then that. So it takes quite a few runs to be able to get both pieces off of this boss, I have done about 9 runs or so and only gotten the shoulderpads so far I hope to be able to grab these within my next few runs.

So far i got shoulders and hands...but do these drop in heroic or normal runs?
Only need legs and head piece.
I went with the felstalker 3 piece set also. Though I'm not LWer so I didnt get set bonus with it. Found that out after the fact. /cry

I'm REALLY getting tired of this instance! I've been there approxomately 35 times and I have still to see these drop... Have the shoulders though, got those on my first run...

These legs are the worst part of the set. The Scaled Greaves of Patience, from Old Hillsbourgh are better. Another option would be to get the Greaves of Desolation from Sethic Halls (they drop in regular and heroic Seth).

These dropped on my very first SV run, me and another hunter both hit need I got excited when he rolled a 4 then noticed I'd rolled a 1. Worst roll ever.

I won the beast lord shoulders from the same boss who apparently drops this item. Seems strange to have 2 items from the same set drop from one boss

The Helm drops in Mechnaar while the legs and shoulders drop in Steamvaults. And neither say it needs to be Heroic. The Desolation set requires Heroic modes but this set doesn't.

In a strange twist of fate, I did Steamvaults, and the Warlord dropped BOTH Beast Lord pieces at the same time: Leggings and Shoulders. My lucky day I guess.

set has a higher drop chance on heroic, thats all.. but i would hope you would have your whole set by the time you are doing heroic instances...

this pants are driving me nuts, I'm almost exalted with cenarion expedition and have seen every other drop from kali 4-5 times but this piece just won't drop :(

still wearing the fugly leather pants from area52...

same bad luck with the hourglass.

good thing I found the helm and curiass within ~5 runs each, as steamvault is probably the easiest 70+ 5man.

I have just dinged exalted now after running steamvault for a month, multiple times a day. didn't see this drop even a single time, while I've seen the other 10% drops drop 3-4 times PER DAY. counting over 40+ black morass runs as well, and getting drops with lower chances drop 3 times in row, while getting outrolled on the hourglass by people who are there for their first or second time. I'm about to deinstall wow, throw my pc out of the window and kill myself.

finally found them after estimated 60-70 runs (~20 for the shoulders to drop, then 40-50 more for this) and 5 runs after hitting exalted. finally released and will never have to return to this instance again... except heroic that is.

Does anyone know if heroic mode has a better drop rate for this item? I'm already exalted and no sight of the leggings till now. Are there any specific items that has better drop rates in Heroic Mode?

This instance is soo &*!@ing easy running it about 30 times and still no beast lord leggings really pisses me off. Im almost exalted with cenarion expedition..

Unless you need the legs for the 2 or 4 piece bonus, you should probably consider Scaled Greaves of Patience instead. A few AC is irrelevant and otherwise the legs appear significantly better given that you can socket them to customize as you like.

Likewise, Barbaric Legstraps are even better if you can do Underbog Heroic.

Also, if you are after another piece for the set bonus, consider the Beast Lord Helm which drops from Pathaleon the Calculator, last boss in Mechanar, an incredibly short instance.

I'm 0/8 on these. I just dinged Revered with CC on my last run. I've seen the shoulders drop 3 times now, got those for the first time on my third.

I feel slightly better knowing others feel my pain. I'll keep at it, because quite frankly its an easy instance, but its very frustrating trying to get these pants.

My friend got both the beast lord mantle and leggings to drop on what was only her first run of SV ever, and she won both rolls on both pieces over another Hunter. That's some kind of luck!

Edit: 0/12, still nothing.
Edit2: 0/14, and I've finally given up on them. I just bought the Leggings of Beast Mastery instead.

Got these yesterday but cant decide whether to use them or not. For PvP I have greaves of patience with some stam gems and right now im using maghari huntsmans legs for PvE which i kinda like cos of hit and lots of AP. Should i ditch the huntsmans legs and go for these when it comes to PvE ?

Got these last night, now I have two pieces yay for reduced cooldown :D still waitin for them shoulders... whoever thought of giving them like 8% drop rate should just die... AND they are on the very last boss :(

1st run of steamvaults I get the mantle, 1st run of Mechanar I get the helm, and 4th run of steamvaults, I get the leggings.

Guess you just have to be lucky :)

Exalted with Sha'tar, exalted with Cenarion, exalted with Thrallmar. Seem to get exalted with the instance beast lord drops in before i actually get the item. Just hit exalted with Cenarion and still dont have the legs...maybe soon.

Ive done SV a couple times now and the same items keep on dropping the cloth sholders i think and some crappy shammy mail gloves on top of that it takes me a goood 45 min to find a damn grp

the polearm on the screenshot is the one from murmur, Sonic spear. I'm still hoping to get it! Been to Murmur many times, but it never dropped for me :(

I went to SV about 15 times and finally 1 of the 2 BL set dropped. I got the shoulders and was happy. Still need to get the legs as well. Went to Mechanar the other night to help a guildie rogue to try to get his set chest there, not realizing that also a BL set item can drop there. The last boss was very happy to see us both for the first (!) time... both the rogue chest and the BL head dropped for us! Nice to see that you can get lucky in the game once in a while!

Heh lawl @ the guy above me. enhance shamans that need gear ftl. All the people that have ran this like 300,000 times should give up. Heroic UB isn't much harder except for 1 pull right before the 1st boss and since ur all hunters you should know it is easy to kite one. Beast Lord set was cool, but every thing can be swapped by other loot. IMO the stalkers helm of 2nd sight stacks more ap than the BL helm (or the engineering one). The lvl 68 chest from black morras is IMO better, but some ppl call them comprable. The leggings from regular CoT durnholde are almost as good or the ones from heroic Durn (non epic ones from the 2nd boss) or the heroic UB ones. mmmmm Not sure what good gloves drop out there cuz i got tier4 early which are pretty much the same as the BL cept they are epic. The shoulders are really the only ones imo to be essential. The beastial paldrons or whatever from the opera at kara kinda suck. They dont have near the ap that the BLs have. Instead they have a lot of stam which in bgs, for a hunter, is cool to have some items that pack a good amount of stam, but still have some near raid dps. I always keep 2 pieces in my bags though because if u get a headstart on the 1st pull in an instance it is easy to chain trap 4-5 times without kiting, scattershotting, or other things

I've done, SV 7,8 times now, and got the shoulders twice. Is the Drop rate really 8.5% ?

on my 1st sv run the shoulders dropped off last boss and i lost roll to other hunter but several runs later they dropped again and I won em. ive been trying to get the pants for so long that eventually i just got some pants of a dragon in kara and im sticking with these, if anyone runs this instance forever hoping for these to drop try some other instances or get into kara theres better (and much easier to get) drops from other places

What do ya know.. The one pug shammy needed this over me and hearthed =( Oh well after 2 more runs I got them.. Take a note on pugs make sure they don't do that !@#$ and keep an eye on them... no offense to them non-guildless ones either. Sad to say this is pure hunter no doubt 100%.. whatever.

I've run SV at least 20 times now and this weekend I FINALLY saw the legs drop! I was out rolled by another hunter with a 22. I wanted to scream. I immediately went back in with another pug and they dropped again! Yea I got em. But it gets better next we went to Mech and I got the helm, first try. We went to Shatt next to try for the handguards but no luck. I figure 2 pieces after two months of grinding was good enough. :) One piece to go for the whole set...

Funny thing is I have both set bonus's already and am tempted to leave it at that but the hands are better then what I have now so will probably go for the whole set. :)

Now I only have to run SV for rep, but can do the others there to get some variety now :)

Sorry about above was a mistake spelling.

What I want to know is where do these drop. Is it in heroic mode Steam vaults, or the normal mode Steam Vaults, or does it drop in both and if so does normal mode have a less of a drop rate for these shoulders?

Plz can someomne clear this up for me so I no if I should grind rep or not. tnx

The pants drop off the last boss in Normal SV and Heroics but in heroics the items have a lesser chance of dropping. In Noraml SV the pants have a 29.6% drop rate and the shoulders have a 29.95% drop rate.

Got the mantle on the 1st run and now on 20+ and have never seen the leggings yet. But I guess it's all part of the game :(. I am almost exalted with CE.

. . . and ya know what else? All the ore I horded from these runs moved me up 55 lvls in JCSo I guess I would say this was not time wasted. I can trap like a pro now cause I have lots of practice :)
