Maybe awsome, but a pain to get...done 36 full Steamvault runs now, got Exalted just by the runs (sold all my Armaments or whatever they are) and still no shoulders have dropped. Did get the leggings 3 times or so and 70% of the runs the shammie gloves drop...but for me its on to the 37th run whenever I can, pray for once they will drop... !

It's so f****** annoying... 999/1000 Exhalted, turned only few weapons in and still I've to see these drop. Even bought the lucky jewels from the vendor in Shattrath... God and what dropped? The Beast Lord Leggins I already have. Damnit, I know the instance by heart I've saw EVERYTHING dropp, but not my shoulders.
In the meantime I see even Shamies running arround with them. I could kill them for this.

While it sucks that you haven't got a drop, in 2.1 Kill command is off the global cooldown, so that means it is worth using no matter the spec, so once you get 4/5 Kill command will be really good.

Oh yes, i know. My second run total and Warlord Kalithresh dropped both shoulders and leggings at the same time.. I was the only hunter.. HAH! :D :D

I would argue that the Gladiator's Chain Spaulders are a better choice for both PvP and PvE, ahnd now quite easy to attain via honor points.

Compared to the above:

+2 Agi
+39 Stam
+11 Crit Rating
-16 AP
-5 Mana/5

I think for most hunters dipping into the pool of leather gear may be the best pre-T4 option. May I suggest: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=27434 ?

According to Cheeky's Hunter DPS spreadsheet, they yield better DPS when gemmed identically to these shoulders. Now, you might still be better off if you like the Beast Lord set bonuses (and why wouldn't you?). But for pure DPS, The Mantle of Perenolde are very sweet.

With every hunter I've talked to, they've either got them on their first/second trip, or it took them until exalted to get them.

I'm in the "exalted" group. If I hadn't bought the blue PvP set just as filler, I'd still be using some green quest reward. It's not even that these shoulders are awesome OR that they also look awesome, it's that there is not much else out there besides these until Karazhan (and even then, there is an argument that these are better than the kara shoulders because these have gem slots).

Oh, and I've seen the pants drop 4 times and they're not that great.

fuk this!I am full exalted with CE, probably over 30 runs of SV, sold tons of coilfang amament, still dont see this godamn mentle drop for a single time! fuk u!bllizard!highly doubt if this is a common drop!

done this first time and was lucky with my group the tank,healer & mage were all on a lan and me and the lock coasted through unfortunately the shoulders didnt drop but the legs did :)

I'm now 1.5k from exalted, haven't seen them drop, and now questioning whether it's worth it. Too bad I have 3/5 Beast Lord, I kinda want that set bonus =/

Drops: The Druid/Caster/Shammy loot table is extremely high throught the BC in my opinion. Ive killed a boss that drosp various Beast Lord or Desolation gear even 30+ times. (notincluding ones with 2 each) and Ive seen 3 Desolation total drop. SOemthing is seriously wrong. And can Blizz explain the dozens of druid AP stat twohanders while there is only the Sonic Spear in Shadow Labs? And enough with the useless ranged weapons that we don't even want. WTF.

Quests: There have been TWO hunter blue rewards worth using in TBC. Countless shammy mail instead, and of course other class choices mixed in.

Reputation: Unless you want the epic !@#$ty daggers you can get all over the place, there is almost nothing to buy with reputation. The blue LC chest, maybe the thrallmar spear, and the terrible belts from Sh'Tar and Halaa. All very sucky. 4/5 are druid, plate, or caster oriented and the ones we could possibly use dont compliment hunters whatsoever. An ntire faction devoted to druid rewards? WTF agaaaaaain.

Low drop rate, marginal stat value, lack of quest rewards, few and useless rep rewards. AM I the only one noticing this nonsense? (crit+strength gems... seriously)

I so agree with you mate, no reputations are worth grinding, no better hunter weapons even in Karazhan/Gruul's Lair (no we DONT WANT daggers! And even if we do, we must wait untill all rogues have them...gg)...
I'm currently wearing the Towering Mantle of the Hunt, possibly the WORST LOOKING spaulders in game, and ofc I'm exalted with Cenarion Expedition running Steamvault and D3 spaulders don't drop...only caster/druid loot ALL THE FREAKING TIME.

Sick and tired of it.

This drop reminds me of the Scholomance runs back in the day when i went for the beast stalker cap and did over 44 runs to get it.

6.6% is a low drop rate

Even Gandling droppin tier 0 set helms was a higher drop rate , gg

ran sv twice last week, second run, he dropped both items. i was only hunter, so shoulders and legs in one run:)

i might add that i ran mc 35+ times with guild and sulfuron NEVER dropped the gs shoulders. payback?

My Pally friend has been exalted with Honor Hold for about 2 weeks now, and has been running Shattered Halls CONSTANTLY, upwards 6 times a day, to get his Pally gloves to drop with still no luck to date. On my second run of the instance the Pally gloves dropped and we had to DE. I mailed him the resulting shard and wrote in the letter "This used to be a pair of Righteous gloves". He came to school the next day in a pissy mood and refused to talk to me most of the week :P

Hunters definatly have it the hardest to get their dungeon 3 set. All of the items drop off of the last boss in the hardest (or longest, botanica) instance in the group at exceptionally low rates.

How come other classes have pieces drop in lowbie instances like sethekk halls?

how much bs is this, everyone gets on first run, yet im on wat my 11th run now and havent dropped at all, ATLEAST MAKE THEM DROP AND HAVE ME BE OUTROLLED, that would give me hope, but no drops at all for it, its starting to piss me off big time, i might give up on it, and jus get pauldrons of desolation or something else, i need new shoulder armor bad, and at this rate i wont get till next expansion

I've ran this instance over 50+ times and this damn shoulder has never dropped. Makes me pissed because the same thing happened to me for Beaststalker Mantle in LBRS. Blizz needs to make the drop rate higher...

I put +13 critcal strike rating on this from reputation with scryers, and 1xYellow +8 crit socket and a red+8 agi socket. Oh, and yeah... I got it on my first run =)=)=) This shoulder is the beste pre-kara and pre-heroic drop you can get .

omg, whats with the drop rate on the hunter gear? i have to be jinxed or something, cuz iv been grinding the bosses that drop the beast lord stuff since i hit 70 and just finally got the helm tonight. 1st part iv ever even seen drop. i suppose now im gonna have to practically move into SV for the next few weeks :/

I'm sorry to hear of everyone's disappointment with drops - first time I ran SV I got the pants... got invited later that day to do it again (and I needed the rep) so I joined... shoulders dropped.
I just did SH today with a group to clear up the quest log and finish the David Wayne quests and the gloves dropped for me.

I guess I'm 3/3 so far... Now if I could only get the chest (I think the Stalker's Helmet of 2nd Sight is better than BL.

On my warlock, I got the Oblivion leggings on my first run through Sethekk Halls, and the Hood after a few runs in Arcatraz. Then I got to Exalted with Lower City before I saw Murmur drop any Oblivion gear. Why does this matter? Because on my hunter, I got this mantle on his first SV run. So I'm pretty sure I'll get another piece, then never see another scrap of it.

I think these shoulders look pretty cool, too!

Where to start.... they look nice, good armor and like 0,0000001 dropp rate, i am now exalted with cenarion expedition and i dont need it! i have been here manny times and i hate those things, i dont belvise that it is 22,00 dropp rate. when i have those thing i am never gonna take a step in Sv again.

What I want to know is where do these drop. Is it in heroic mode Steam vaults, or the normal mode Steam Vaults, or does it drop in both and if so does normal mode have a less of a drop rate for these shoulders?

I have this and the gloves for the trap CD reduction, and since I have enough points in survival (MM/Survival) I have a longer trap hold for freezing traps (26 sec) so right when the mob unfreezes I can trap again, makes me more effective as a CC player, and even though Im wearing mostly epic gear, I wont be replacing those peices, just not worth losing that bonus, not at all. And BTW if you instance and raid, the Reduced CD IMO, is worth more than a little harder hitting dps by far, so you all go farm your epic replacements, I've got 4 sec to grab a coke before I need to do more than Auto-shot AFK during the Moroes fight =D

You guys think you've had it bad? I have a 70 warrior and a 70 hunter. And, until a Bot run a few weeks ago...I had NEVER looted an item I could use from a boss drop, except a couple of rings. That's a year of gaming!

From Bot, I picked up the Towering Mantle which serves my game play very well. (BM/Surv 40-4-17). So, the hunt for any of the Beast Lord items was only half-hearted when the Beast Lord Mantle dropped for me on my hunter's sixth SV rep run. (Still revered with Cen.) They might become part of my dungeon gear but probably not my raid gear.

I like the Towering Mantle because along with my other gear, I have fairly decent DPS, pet health, and mana pool. And it's not rare in groups for me to be exceeding the 90% aggro warning from Omen as it is. To add the Beast Lord Mantle just might push me over that 100% aggro, reduce my mana pool, and reduce pet health. Is that worth the 4 sec reduction in Trap cooldown? I might certainly need it with the sacrifices I'll make to equip it. The raid bosses and some of the raid trash run over traps...so the trap bonus is next to useless there..where as a big mana pool and stam is far more valuable. Could be worn for trash mobs in raids and then switch to the Tower for the bosses. <shrug>

Finally! I just got this damn piece after 42 runs through Steamvaults. I don't care if I get the Tier 4 shoulders tonight, I will wear these for a damn month and then, they will stay in my bank forever!

And they are good shoulders, dont get me wrong, but after 42 runs, i hate these things! lol

I have run this instance 30+ times and am now exalted with CE but have still never seen these shoulders drop. I think the drop rate must be wrong.. or maybe i'm just REALLY unlucky

Yeah I ran his 24 times in the last 2 weeks, and until the 24th time I ran it, they dropped. Unfortunatly there was another Hunter in the group so we had to roll. He won. It was his first SV run ever, and he won, and it was my 24th run in 2 weeks. Wow yeah compltly pissed.

Got these on my first run. Socketed with 8 Agility and 4 crit 8 AP. The lack of stamina sucks, but the amount of AP and crit you get is amazing.

i guess no one really notices that 1 agil= 1 ap!

but 1 agility also give u crit and other things i forget what the other things are but... if you stack your items with +agility ur gonna be an amazing hunter and are gonna get very high crits and normal white crits!

okay ive lost count on how many times ive run this instance but the drops rate for both the pants and shoulders are crap.... First run in Shatt halls the gloves drop for me...but all those runs no pants or shoulders....i also have a green chest on right now and i am trying to get groups for Botanica but no one wants to run it!

This should never go to a shammy first. It would be like a Hunter rolling on some nice agi, stam, ap leather with a stealth bonus. The set bonus will never help a shamman. This is the Hunter D3 set, if a shammy rolls on it kick them out.
