Although 2 vendors do sell this, they are limited quantity and takes such rediculously long times to respawn, it's easier to just get one crafted.

There are plenty of engineers, they're just not going to port bother helping you unless you have the mats and are willing to give them a decent tip.

If you're not willing to find someone to make it for you, and to give them reasonable compensation, then just drop the quest.

The reason you aren't finding Engineer's interested in making Adamantite Frames is they cost 3 or 4 times as much to make than the 4 gold the vendor charges.

You'll see these in the AH when someone is making them to increase their Engineering Skill but little otherwise, because like Fel Iron Bullets and many other engineering items, the vendor and even AH price is far lower than the value of the parts.

Prices fluctuate in the AH, but today (4/27/08) is a good example.

Adamantite Bars cost 3g each (4 are required), and Primal Earth (1 required) is selling for 4 gold. So the cost to make 1 Adamantite Frame is 16 gold, but there are Frames in there for between 6 and 9 gold apiece.

When you see them... Grab them up!

BTW - my Engineer, Namgirb (Draka), will be happy to make them all day long - using your mats - for only 1 gold. Mail the parts and I'll send it back COD. :)

heh, Try asking a guildie, any any guild with 30+ 70's there's bound to be at least one engineer

Welcome to the world of the typical moron programmer at Blizzard. Only two dealers sell this item, it is on a timed cooldown, no one makes this piece no matter how much you spam for one in IF or SW, and half the server needs one to complete the cannon quest. This is just one of many reasons why people are fed up with this game. Have to camp a dealer and waste your precious playing time waiting for a Freaking part to respawn. Ridiculous. Blizzard idiots FTL.

Having bought the frame at AH, I re-read this post and flew up to buy one off the vendor. I then re-sold the second one which kept costs down. If I had known the re-spawn for the dealer frame was so long I might have sold it for more as I can’t find Engineers wanting to make one!

Where are all the jewel crafters when you need them? Got a hat full of sockets now!

Anyone know how long it takes this guy to re-stock? I've seen this in the ah for 10g more than it sells at vendor and i ain't gonna give someone 10g for 'farming' a vendor lol.

i flew up to the stormspire at about 7am in hopes that najeeb might have some goodies and he had 2xAdamantite Frame for 3.6g each for me and i am stoked. bought them both up real quick.

same here, tried flying back and forth from the two vendors that sell them and ended up giving up after a couple hours. I hate asshats that have no use for a limited item then mark it up on AH

I don't know 10g doesnt seem too steep considering the materials needed to make this. I mean 1 x Primal Earth costs about 4g and a stack of adamantite bar sells for around 50g, which comes out roughly as 10g for 4 bars. So all up its costs about 14g and engineers are selling it at a loss.

For me, I'd rather farm for the '10g' rather than waste time camping out some dude who thousands of other players from both faction sides who are also trying to. Its a lot of time wasted in order to save a few gold, that can be easily farmed

Or gather the materials yourself and find someone to make it for you.

I pity all these engineers not making any money from their profession at all.

the dude meant the recipe was 10g more than vendor price, not the craft. and i dont get the logic of paying that money AND selling the 10g worth of mats to make it worth it at the same time (?). Anyway.
