Upon Discovering its recipe, and until patch 2.3, I used this potion in preference to 超级治疗药水. As a warlock I'm mainly interested in health, not mana, and for me Super Rejuvenation is entirely superior. Not only does it have a shot of mana in addition to better healing (1650-2750 vs. 1500-2500), I also find the materials easier to gather. If you watch for herbs when you do your dailies, particularly if you kill the occasional , you're going to pick up a lot of 法力蓟 and 梦露花. 魔草, of course, is also common. So I can basically ignore those three as materials. 虚空花, on the other hand, is an herb I have difficulty keeping in stock. I don't go to Netherstorm as often and when I do the herb spawns are often heavily picked over. So for me the cost boils down to 2 netherblooms for Super Healing, and just one for Super Rejuvenation.

It's typically not a good substitute for 超级法力药水, however. The materials cost is undoubtedly steeper and it returns just 1650-2750 mana, as opposed to 1800-3000.

In any case, I rarely sell the stuff. Not many people know about it, and even though it's easier for me to make, on paper the materials are still more expensive. Since I can't reliably sell it at an acceptable price point, I don't bother.

With 2.3, I switched to 疯狂炼金师药水. It has identical effects to Super Rejuvenation, gives you a free buff, and is cheaper than any of the "Super" potions. However, I still make Super Rejuvenation for guildmates who aren't alchemists, especially warlocks and paladins.(##RESPBREAK##)2056##DELIM##adashiel##DELIM##

This is without a doubt the best potion to use as a paladin tank.When you need to pot for health, the extra mana boost is invaluable, especially on fights where you may be a little mana starved.

Now, if only there were an engineering injector.

This potion is excellent for warlocks.

Life tap once or twice, hit this pot, and you've gained around 5,000 mana in 3 seconds!

This potion is, in fact, better for all casters in raids than Super Healing Potion (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=22829) is.

If you compare the HP regained from this (1650 to 2750) vs. the HP from Super Healing (1500 to 2500), it's superior.

Add to that the fact that this potion/ healing potions share the same cooldown with mana potions. You might as well get some bonus mana back when you have to regain health, rather than just health alone.

The Alchemist Stone is really the must for leveraging this potion. If your a 'all stats' person like a drood or a paladin. Then this combo is amazing.

Requirements to make a discovery

You must be crafting a potion, elixir, flask or performing a transmutation that was added in TBC.

As a rule of thumb that's anything that is learnt from a master alchemy trainer, dropped from a mob in outland or purchased from a vendor in outland. The only real exceptions are the pre-TBC flasks that have been made available from faction vendors in outland.

NOT requirements to make a discovery

You don't need to be in outland
You don't need a mastery
You don't need to be 375 alchemy
You don't need to be level 70
You don't need to craft yellow or orange recipes to make discoveries. Even grey recipes can proc discoveries
You don't need to be crafting a related recipe *except* in the case of cauldrons (You can discover flasks when making potions for example)

This was the first potion I learned and I learned it within weeks of getting to Outland after TBC was released. I agree that as an alchemist I use mad alchemists potion now instead because of the netherbloom, but I give all of these that I can make to my Pally alt. I find them perfect for the last stages of raid bosses that do an aoe. They allow me to not worry about healing myself and restore my mana

Hmm, I never knew about this potion until right now. I play a fire mage in raids, and quite often I'm taking some large AOE damage on certain encounters. I can never healthstone, because of the shared cooldown with mana gems, and I can rarely ever use a healing potion since I'm generally popping super mana potions.

This potion gives ~150-250 less mana then a super healing potion, but it also returns health at the same time. I will definately start bringing some of these to raids from now on, and using them on certain encounters instead of super mana potions. I won't switch completely of course, I'll still carry 3-4 stacks of super mana potions. But when I need heals AND mana, I know where to turn now.

For the tankadin with money to spare, this is absolutely WONDERFUL to have on Hyjal.

If your raid is falling behind on trash, you may not have time to drink; and depending on the waves you may not be taking enough damage at the end of the pull to regain your mana.

In those situations, just wait for the next wave to come, get some initial aggro, then chug one of these for a nice mana/HP boost and some bonus threat.

They're damn expensive, but worth it.

Now if only there were injectors...

I have a lvl 54 rogue, I was leveling my alchemy it's at 345 now. I was chilling in Org when I discovered this. I don't have much use for it. Threw it on the AH withing seconds it sold. And since it is still red at 375 I'll be using this to level my Alchemy and then choosing my mastery when I do hit 70.

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many Discovery recipes you can get? I have 9 at the moment but I haven't gotten one for about 3 months and I put out a ton of potions and elixirs.

I just made 60 super mana potions in anticipation of making some injectors, and I discovered this bad boy. I was already level 375 and had a few other discoveries. Just FYI.

Just an FYI for those of you like me who did not discover this during Burning Crusades, you can discover it making the new pots and elixirs for wrath. I discovered it tonight while making Elixir of Spirit.

This was my 3rd discovery in 3 days (so stoked)!
My discoveries so far:
Flask of Mighty Restoration (after 4 Super Mana Potions).
Flask of Shadow Fortification (after 5 Adept's Elixirs).
Super Rejuvenation Potion (after 15 Elixirs of Major Defense).
So yeah it seems you can discover just about anything from anything.

Oh and yeah Keepmealive can make this pot on Proudmoore Horde.

I solo'd the quest to make these at level 58. I stealthed in with my hunter, droped a stoneclaw totem, sapped the guard then cheapsot, sector seach, grabbed the pot, bubbled and ran out.

I don't know why it's taking you guys to 62, maybe you need my leet hunter skills.

yeah, I made a discovery too, except mine was a transmute discovery. For alchemists that haven't had this yet when making a pot of transmuting there is a chance to get a free recipe and you'll get a message in your chat text something like:

DISCOVERY! you have made a discovery and can now make Super Rejuvenation Potions.

Discoveries are completely random, I discovered the flask of shadow protection at level 62 in Stormwind while making mana pots. It just happens while you are doing alchemy

Discoveries are very random. I saved a lot and I mean thousands of herbs for post patch discoveries.

On day one I got 4 in the first 300 pots made then nothing after making another 600 pots. Day two I got one after about 120 pots made and day three after about 40.

Cauldrons are easy discoveries made from making the same protection pot and you should get it within making 5 or so sets of the pots.

ok, some usefull info

-> u discover recipies by doing ANY TBC (300+) recipy. It doesnt have to be similar to the recipy u need (except for cauldrons). Recipy u make can be gray. U dont even have to create same category of pots

example : i discovered Super rejuv potion , while creating the simple and low on mats "Elixir of Camuflage" pots (1 ragveil, 1 felweed). I was lvl375 so elixir of camuflage was gray. i did abt 70-80 various pots (mana pots, major fort elixirs and cmauflage elixirs before i got the Super Rejuv potion Recipy.

I have made probably thousands of high level potions by now, and I have never made a discovery. At first I thought it was an alternative to being a potion master as I had no clue what my guildie was on about when he told me he had discovered 3 recipes already.

The only "rule" as I understand it, is you have to be making potions of Outland origins. I have had 5 different discoveries. I can't wait for the next.

i've been making potions, elixirs and doing transmutes all from outlands, for weeks and have not learned a single one of the randomly discovered recipies. i added it all up and came out to just under 1,000 pots/elixirs and about 50 transmutes. is this just really bad luck or something i'm missing out on?

Is there any reason that I would want to USE this potion over Mad Alchemists Potion? The materials are more difficult to come by and they both do seemingly the same thing except Mad Alchys adds useful buffs. It seems like there should be some reason that I would want to use Super Rejuv over Mad Alchy as it is a higher level but I cannot see it.

Learned this last night while making Mad Al. Pots. im a lvl 63 and my alc. was at 335 so you can make discoverys with out being spec. into a mastery

this is very simple...you have to be at least 300 in alchemy, making a pot that requires 300 or better skill to craft, and the materials have to be BC (at least one of em anyways) no mastery is required, nor do you have to be in outland, and no stats affect the discovery rate..it's random, and it sucks...get used to it...I've made 8 discoveries now, not including the 5 cauldrons I've discovered (cauldrons, btw, have a MUCH higher rate of discovery...you make about 5 of the required pots and you get it) You can discover transmutes from making pots or elixirs, and you can discover flasks/pots from doing transmutes, it doesn't matter at all. on another note though, I'm not sure if it is subject to diminishing returns (ie. the more pots you make in a single run, the less the chance of making a discovery) or not, but I've had most of my discoveries while making between 20-60 pots/elixirs. just do your xmute everyday and make low material cost BC pots whenever you get the chance....discoveries will come

I dont belive you can Discover Potions or Flask thur making a transmute. I'm a transmute specialist. And I make a primal might everyday. For the past month of doing this I have discoverd and only discoverd.

Water-Shadow
Mana-Fire
Fire-Mana
Life-Earth
Earth-Life

Those are the only things I have'd discoverd while doin transmutes. As for the others you can discover flask from elixirs and Potions from Flask or whoever u want to say it.
But transmute's stay with transmute.
