Good to have these cut for your gear for level around 60-70, while getting blue ones at the time and using Epics on your End-game gear. Much better than the Vendor ones.

Name is probably a typo of spessartine, a type of garnet. Spessarites do not exist.

I dropped some of them while farming Motes of Mana from Mageslayers and Mana Seekers in Netherstorm, at the Kirin Var village.
These mobs would drop some Flame Spessarite if you are patient, and anyway it could be a good way to farm motes of mana and then sell them as Primal Mana xP
