I'm guessing this is from one of the sithilid quests because it has no level requirement. Anyone know what quest or questline I should see first?

got em, they look horrible.. like pre 1.6 giantstalker horrible. they are obtained by completeing the long quest chain from the dwarves in southern silithus, the final stage in the quest is killing a giant named elite that takes a 20 man raid. for completeing the quest you also get a pair of crappy leggings with 25 nature resist

It's not bad for the effort involved. Yes, the shaman one gives more total stats. Bliz considers +more to the same stat to count more than +to several.

Ok let's go with the last comment and say that + to one stat is worth more. These give a total of +41, while the Shammy gives +50. Not that Strength is a big thing for me, or Spirit for that matter, but let's get them other +9 please.

These leggings are the best non-epic mail NR leggings a hunter could ask for. I'm not sure how the bosses go in AQ 20/40, but I know the instance is nature-based (similar to how MC is fire-based). Having everyone equipped with their repective leggings in your AQ groups is going to make life a lot easier once inside.

Also, why would Blizz have such a long and involved quest line that ended with a 25+man raid boss for something you'd never use? The gloves that come with these are decent, and they know you're going to need the leggings inside AQ (until you get whatever NR epics/blues that drop inside)

+50 attack power isn't too good. i prefer +25 agility since agility = more armor more change to crit and so on... so is agility better than only +attack power?

1 Agility : 2 ranged ap , 1 melee ap and very little crit & dodge % . 53 agility = 1 % crit.

It's about which one you prefer more - 50 melee & ranged ap , or 0,5% crit , 50 ranged ap and 25 melee ap. I'd say 25 agi > 50 ap , but it's alot more easier to find piece of equipment with 50 ap than 25 agility, and with blue ap gear you deal as much damage in melee as epic hunters (Epic items with ap are normally weared by shammies not hunters because it's more useful to them).

This is a hunter only prize, Shaman cannot even choose this as an option. Too bad too because I would have kept these, but the shammy ones are going to be vendored >(
