Windstorm Hammer 1H-Mace (Main Hand), was best 29-melee twink weapon because it could be enchanted with mongoose etc. (Horde)
Bleeding Crescent 1H-Axe (Main Hand), is another melee weapon for 29s. (Horde)
Skullbreaker 1H-Mace (Main Hand), is better choise for casters. (Horde)
Crescent of Forlorn Spirits 1H-Axe (Main Hand), good choise for paladins and shamans as its TBC-enchantable.(Alliance)
Archeus 2H-Sword, not so good but still tbc-enchantable. (Alliance)

All of the other items does not require over level 30+ to complete quest, totally completable at 29, some at 28 or earlier.
All of them can be enchanted with TBC-enchants, except Windstorm hammer since 2.3 "nerf", (they changed item lvl under the enchants needed lvl).

i just finished the quest and i got an axe by the same name but with 18.1 DPS and + 6 spirit. so for some reason i still got the old version

its a great axe you can use it at lvl 22 because of no lvl requirements and quests starts at lvl 22. so if you can get a friend to help you complete this very long quest chain its worth it.

Amazing for hunters if you think about it. 8 crit rate is 1.41% crit chance at 29 which is pretty amazing. Get a 15 agi or Mongoose or someting on it and ur good. Pair it w/ Thornspike and ur golden!

Best of all, both weapons are practically free, minus the costs for runs.

I think before I usually sold the rewards from the Stalvan quest since I always had something better, but now Blizz has really improved these items and I think it's added more signifigance to the quest-line. RP'ers will go nuts.

I'd like to mention that in 29 twink battles, mana helps hunters alot. No mana = no kiting and less dps.
Personally I am going to enchant this with 30 intellect, giving me a whopping 450 extra Mana, which is VERY nice.

Not to mention 30 ap from the Marks talent.

This looks like a pretty nice tankadin weapon, because with the new judgement system that heals you with each hit. Decent damage to keep up the threat, and the high hit speed allows u to be healed a lot more. Even for Retribution, this weapon has a dps close to quite a few 2-handed weapons (and a MUCH faster hit rate), including the pally-only Verigan's Fist, which is quite a nice weapon. Its a pity Retribution tree doesnt allow dual-wield, as ive always thought it should, because if you couple this with another good one-hander you'd get quite a nice combo.

With the recent change to crit. (Affects both melee, ranged and spellcasting) this could be a potentially good 29 ele / resto shaman weapon with a BC enchant.
Best of all, it's still a 1h, so you can equip a shield too.

Got this on my 29 Twink Holy Paladin at lvl 22. Quest is very easy, but time consuming. 13 Steps but all just running around Stormwind, Westfall, Elwynn, and Duskwood areas killing a lvl 25 spirit at a few points which is very easy. Then you need someone to help you kill the lvl 32 Stalvan in Duskwood to complete the quest. Enchanted the axe with +81 Healing which was rougly 340g (It's the only weapon w/ item lvl 35+ allowing BC enchants). Highly recommend this for a twink, good luck!

I used this axe straight to level 42, I think. Ax crit spec arms warrior at the time - the speed is outrageous for weapons around that level and even going forward, the low damage was negligible with critical success.
Plus, it looks really classy.

Just wanted to show you a screenshot confirming not only can you get +81 Healing on a 29 twink, you can get it when that twink is only 22. There's a few things going on in this pic. 1. Got the mouse over so you can see enchant. 2. Guy saw enchant on a 22 and thought I was nuts until he found out I was going to twink. 3. I included the XP because I started the Legend of Stalvan questline as soon as I dinged 22, literally nothing not even one enemy in between. I did everything but the last guy solo, relatively easy. Every spawn was a 26 until him, forget what he was. Had our guild leader help me, took all of five seconds for him. Long and the short of it is it's pretty easy to do at 22 save for the last part and you gain almost half a level while doing it (over half for me) - if you're going to twink at 29, might as well do early when you WANT the XP 'cause if you do this at 29 you will be getting similar XP (all quests were red for me at 22, prob still yellow at 29) and it could level you. And I didn't have any rested XP, by the way.

Quest starts at lvl 22. I have a level 23 Warrior with this axe and Battlemaster enchant on it. Spamming rend/hamstring makes Battlemaster proc like crazy. As long as I have rage pots nothing under level 28 can bring me down.

Can't wait to fully twink out for the 29 bracket this will be main hand / butch w/ crusader in off hand. A warrior healing machine...

i have this on my 29 shammy i put a 20 strength on it along with marbled buckler shield with a big fat 18 stam on it. pretty good investment....should have gotten mongoose though :-/

that is some nice gear. with my twink i went more strength then stam/agi for gear/chants. i'm currently working on getting some stamina gear though, i can get 2788 health un-buffed with the stam gear i've got now. if anyone could post the best stam gear it would be nice :P. (bl that this comment is off topic but meh. my twink owns and thats all i care about.)

This is even better for a 29 ele shaman twink now, too. I used to have it on my 29 ele shaman twink, but now in 3.0.2 crit rating affects both ranged, melee, and spells. So, in conclusion this with the major heals to weapon is the ideal setup, along with marbled buckler and +18 stam, 12 int, or resil if you so choose.

I know it was good too before 3.0.2 I mean you could put 20 agi or 30 intellect on it but 30 intellect is now 30 ap too =) So it is really really good

Just got it for my level 27 used-to-be twinked shammy...had to get the help of a 29 mage though because unfortunately although i would be considered twinked at level 19 it is not so at level 27 and i had a little trouble solo....tried to kite him to the patrolling guard unfortunately i ended up needing to heal and the guard killed Stalvan before i could do any more dmg....But now i got it and for the time being it is unenchanted...but thanks to inscriptions i will be able to pop something like a crusader enchant on it from my rogue so it was well worth it especially since i am enhancement

I'm not sure what to enchant, gold is not a problem really. I'm a fury warrior and i got this Axe last night. My first thought was Mongoose for the huge agility buff and the attack speed but then i remembered Potency which gives 20 STR all the time. 20 STR would increase my dps a little while the 120 AGI would give a nice crit rating and some high attack speed... What do you guys think?

as of patch 3.2 rogues can use axes, and the item level of this wep is 35 so you can add lv 35 enchants on it like mongoose!

8 crit rating at level 29 gives you a crit chance of 1.41333...%
the best enchant for this is mongoose, even if you put it in off-hand.
remember, more hit chance = more procs

As fast as a lot of daggers, wouldn't this be an awesome PvP weapon for its level? It swings fast, hits hard, the fast-swinging would be good for hindering spellcasting, etc.

Anyways, just got this at Lv25.... yes, Lv25 (Thank you to a 70 priest for killing him for me!). This is one Lv25 Shaman who is *destroying* everything in sight. Seriously, a stoneskin + healing stream totem and I just sit there on auto-attack and watch crap die.

I love this weapon! I never realized how awesome it is.

Nice DPS at level 22 after completing that quest chain. Good for tanking at early levels or a fury warrior (bad HS's but other people prefer fastness :)
