If you are lucky enough to get a sinew and you dont need it right away, save it! The gold may be tempting but youll need the sinew to finish the quest eventually.

People will often tell you that the Harpy Hide quiver is better than this because it's easier to get. The thing they discount is the 2 extra slots. Those 2 slots in a long raid can make the difference between owning faces or looking like a n00b, and in grinding it makes it so much nicer to not have to make those extra arrow runs. Also, if you look at the BC items, the new quivers (rep items) are the same as this, so once you have this, you've got the best you can get.

If you have this quiver at BC release, KEEP IT. After reviewing the new quivers available in the expansion, they are IDENTICAL -- 18 slot, 15% increase.

My Ancient Sinew quiver does not look like the one in the screenshot, it just looks like my old quiver. Does anyone know why?

Since 3.1's change that Ammo stacks to 1000 AND quiver haste is now moved onto the Autoshot spell tooltip... you'd THINK that all quivers were useless.

But it's worth noting that... you keep your quivers "equipped" if they're left in a bag.

Has this quiver always looked like in that 1st picture, brown with leaves on it?
Just wondering since I got this quiver along with the bow & staff and the quiver looks like that bulky blue in 2nd picture?

Want that cool look back on it, if it really has been like that once before.

This was the last in-game quiver that gave +15% ranged attack speed in addition to Auto Shot... but in 3.2 bonus was removed like on other quivers.

I should have read the comments I guess, I wanted the cool brown, leaf-embossed epic quiver...and I got some gaudy blue and yellow piece of crap I can't even vendor. What retard changed the design?

I think the reason they made it THE quiver lol is that the EPIC hunter range weapon is a bow soooo in that case they would make it a quiver

It's the AV quiver with 2 extra slots. not worth hundreds of gold IMO.

you either buy the sinew for hundreds of gold, or use an item that you farmed and could have sold for hundreds of gold. either way it costs you.

This quiver is nice, but I wouldn't buy the Blue Dragon Sinew just to have this.

I'd rather sell the sinew for a 1000g or so, rather than have an AV quiver with 2 extra slots.

an 18 slot quiver with 15% attackspeed, epix drops in AQ aswell. You have it on the testrealm as a hunter

crossBOWS use arrows, and this is an epic Quiver which is cool as hell... you really dont need 1000 gold you mise well just get the quiver

afer all the point of it is attack speed and 2 slots of storage and to have all epics

maybe you think you need 1000g well if you already have an epic mount what else do u need besides run instances

i would farm the sinew just to feel at not a loss

I couyld not believe it, i never farmed for this thing. My main's guild has MC, ONY, BWL on farm so ill get the leaf and sinew whenever. It dropped while i was doing Test of skulls. i was the only hunter and the group all passed on it and grats me on my epic quiver i didnt even have to say anything other than "OMG! YES!" which IMO is the way it should be handled. I guess for once i should thank Blizz for screwing Horde with test of skulls...

the guy above me hes is right. If u have harpy hide quiver (Av reward) it pretty much defeats the purpose of geting this quiver. unless u want to have a awesome looking quiver then ya get this but the 2 slot is worthless and dont farm this sinew to make a profit big mistake.

look at it this way, if your going to sell the sinew someone still has to buy it. This means that there will eventualy be no demand for the sinew and your scrweing yourself out of the best quiver(I am speaking to hunters, all others either make a hunter, or sell it). I know that the populations of servers are not constant and change daily but, and correct me if I'm wrong, there can only be some many accounts with characters on the servers before it gets full, and with that many people playing the game you'd think that most of them are not hunters which is the only class that can use the quiver

My guess is that it would just "Increase ranged attack speed by 15%" As far as the name meaning there shouldn't be a similar ammo pouch...1) it would be named something else, 2) in WoW there are stranger "ancient" items, 3) this is a game

Yeah, I remember being slack jawed about this quiver when I started playing almost a year ago. I knew me getting this amongst so many other Epics wasn't going to happen, so I just bought the WORG HIDE QUIVER. Exact same thing w/o the headache. Nice.

You get the quiver from one of the 3 quests you get from the tree spirits in Felwood that spawn after you get the Ancient Petrified Leaf...
All you have to do for the quiver part of the quest is turn in a Mature Blue Dragon Sinew, super rare epic drop off of blue dragons.
The other two quests are for the 4 demon heads which give you a Rune Etched Stave and one quest is to turn in a Mature Black Dragon Sinew which gives you Enchanted Mature Black Dragon Sinew and then you right click the staff once you have the enchanted sinew and etched staff and then it forms the Rhok'Delar Longbow of the Ancient Keepers/Lok'Delar Stave of the Ancient Keepers.

Ok, heres how you get it, either kill Azuregos or farm the elite dragons in Winterspring to get the "mature blue dragon sinew" then just go to felwood
(on the island in the middle of irontree woods)
and talk to an ancient there. also note that this is a hunter only quest.

I'm sure I'm not the only hunter out there that hopes one day to be able to get a gun instead of the bow, and an ammo pouch instead of the quiver... one day.

Simplified steps to obtain this quiver:

1.) Go to Molten Core and get the Ancient Petrified Leaf from Cache of the Firelord.
2.) Right click the leaf to start The Ancient Leaf quest.
3.) Turn the quest in at Vartrus the Ancient in Felwood.
4.) Now speak with Hastat the Ancient (he's right next to Vartrus the Ancient) and get the Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina quest.
5.) Go to Azshara and kill Azuregos.
6.) Loot Mature Blue Dragon Sinew from Azuregos.
7.) Return to Hastat the Ancient with the Mature Blue Dragon Sinew to finish the quest. Upon completion you will recieve the Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina quiver.

It's weird that quivers and ammo pouches don't go above the normal bag slot numbers. Soul bags, herb pouches anyone?

Anyway, I think investing in a 18 bottomless bag or similar is better, as the extra 2 slots are more universal. I never ran out of arrows since lvl 10. I stuff a quiver in my bank with AV arrows, and mail myself a crapload of thorium headed, so they are always available I just need a bank/mailbox. If you need more than 3200, it's not the end of the world to temporarily use your normal bags.
