uhm, can this be used in arena? seeing how things with 10 min CD can be used but if they had 11 min they would be a no-no.

Just a simple question..... With the tooltip saying increase MAXIMUM HP by 15% does that mean youll just get a bigger pool of HP thus needing a heal straight away or will it bump you up with 15% free health too?

Just wondering if its any use to buy one of these, chuck it down mid fight and not make any difference unless someone AOE heals straight after. just like when priest buffs fortitude in start of BG's i end up spamming chain heal on everyone as they dont go full health.

As stated, this can not be used in arena (which is the original reason I bought it for a few months ago) but it wasn't a complete waste in hindsight. The way to get the most out item is to make a macro to this effect

/use master healthstone
/use horde (or alliance) battle standard
/use battlemaster's <insert name of trinket>
/use talisman of the horde
/use super healing potion

This a killer ~5800 to ~7000+ hp instant "heal" macro that works wonders if the sh*t is about to hit the fan in a BG

You can rotate the order of the HS or battle standard dependant on what you want to burn first. In my case, since I try to save whatever HS I can get my hands on, I put the battle standard first in my macro.

Or if you are trying to PVP and conserve money/honor

/use horde (or alliance) battle standard
/use master healthstone
/use battlemaster's <insert name of trinket>

Works as a great ~3300+ instant free "heal" that should at least buy you time to run away or hopefully finish off your target

PS: I say "heal" because the battlemaster buff is only 15 seconds long and the flag can be killed if targeted.

Note this also shares its cooldown with duplicates of itself, meaning if u buy another you have to wait the 10 minute cooldown from use of the first regardless. I found that one out the hard way, the 15k honor of raping bg's at level 29 way. =D

I know that it isn't technically a battleground, but when during a battle, is it usable within Wintergrasp?

Edit: Just tried it, and it doesn't. If you're looking to use it in a Wintergrasp game, it's a no go fellow Horde. Oh well. We do not need inferior flags hanging from a branch to make us mightier! We are the Horde! (/roleplay)

Can you place a Horde and a Frostwolf standard next to each other and give your party both benefits? (+15% health and +10% damage) Do they have shared or separate cooldowns? What if two different party members each place one of the banners?

Also, is this just an item you use from your pack, or do you have to equip it in a trinket slot (that's a BIG trinket!) to use it?

I think these battle standard needs some work done to them, there was a time when u could drop the AV standard and the battle standard at the same time but now it seem they share a cool of 15mins..

I know this isnt really a problem if your not in AV becuz you can only use the battle standard but still I think for the amount of work it takes to reach rank 9 I'd like to be able to use them both at the same times when I am in AV..

And I see no reason at all why they should share a cooldown with mana crystals and healthstones.. often in long fights mana crystals are life savers.

sry mate, u fail at maths with that standard u get 115% hp, if u got 1k u'll go 1150 so if u have 2k u'll go 2300, and then u'll have 300 more hp.

This Battle Standard is useful for everyone that knows the value of the groups ability to survive.

To use this item properly, make sure you are in a situation where you may or may not claim victory on a decisive match, such as defending a flag room, or assaulting an enemy grave yard.

Use the item ONLY WHEN you have friendly team mates around, as it will not effect raid/bg members not on your team. It is most effective when you have your party nearby.

Use the mini-map to coordinate when your team members are close to your important battle, and drop it at that time.

The 10 minute cool down timer is pretty good. Short enough to be used with other very useful 10min cool down skills such as blood-lust/heroisim.

I reccomend using all your party buff skills at the same time you drop this item.

This item cannot be used in the Arena, so if you are planning on that, dont waste the honor points unless you find your BGs fights an even match up at objectives.

Dont forget that the 45 yard range is approximately 25% longer than the maximum casting range, so it is rather long. Just be sure to remind your group mates to fight in the objective areas, and to not stray off to kill solo targets, so that they do not die to attrition or abandon your defense, leaving it open to capture.

This used to be a rank only item, had to be rank 10 to get into the lil room where rank items were available. The rank limit being rank 10 i think, which means in the ol' games, rank was only attainable at lvl 45+ i think ... due to the honor limits. ir could only get rank 3 at 29 .. no higher ... Now thugh, it has no rank limit, therefore no bracket limit, therefore 10-19's can use it, If they have aquired the new limit, being Honor points.

Enjoy :) For you twinks with 2500 hp in the 20-29 bracket, a few hundred extra hitpoints can sway the odd fight, but really, the cost in honor points... just pop a potion Lol :)

Hmmm for some reason when i was in WSG 10-19....the alliance had one of these while they camped our GY....lame :/ (don't say its not possible cause they did it, only seen it once tho)
