Another great piece of mail out of DM. And for this one all you have to do is complete the quest! The NPC quest giver is inside DM West above the tree boss where the 2nd and 3rd pilons are, along with the hunter boss.

Yep, you can get this from your first DM West clear, not a bad choice for either mail-wearing class. The initial quest is called The Madness Within and requires killing Immol'thar and the prince; once you turn it in you're given this separate quest (treasures) to "turn in" at the chest under the ramp in the library.

The quest is to kill the prince. You can grab the quest inside 2nd part of Dire maul. NPC will you ask to kill prince then turn back to her. To kill the prince you gotta kill the demon first. Quest log says what to do. After you talked to her for killing the prince, you can open the big treasure chest under the stairs in the library.
rewards are; Backhood Helm, Bonecrusher or Sedge Boots.

Looks like a wig, with 60s-style hair. OK, maybe not, but it's not a pretty sight. Especially on femaly characters it seems too wrong.

I would just like to know which helm to use, this one or the elem coif for a enhancement specced shammie or bs for hunters, with all the math experts that freq these forums, im sure someone could get me an answer, thanks

For a enhancement shaman its not always easy to find nice agi/crit gear, or u have to steal hunter's beaststalker gear.
Anyway, i dont steal hunters gear, but lucky we have this helm from DM quest "The Madness Within" this toghether with "The Unstoppable Force" and "Don Julio's Band" and "Painweaver Band" and "Emberfury Talisman" and "Blackhand's Breadth" and "Abyssal Mail Legguards of Striking" (boe leggings, not listed in thottbot jet) all this gives me nice flurry proc and WF crits. Blizzard should make a enhancement set for shaman with agi/strength and crit chance on it. Even if i would have full earthfury, ill switch over to my critgear items when i go pvp. Before i was elemental build, but its all about mana management, and with my spells i have often resist on players (a resisted spell u cast costs mana to!) Enhancement = no need mana, and gives nice dmg. only need mana for the healing.
Now go get that helm and pwn as much loladins u see! ;-)

I had been using Crown of Tyrany for a very long time, and I finally got this helm. I quickly tossed the Crown because it's NOT as good.

Mate,

This helm is pretty bloody good for a reward from a quest that can be simply fulilled. My advice is that all hunters get this prior to attempting to get, for example, the Beaststalkers cap. Great helmet for all hunters, strong agility and pretty decent stats including AC and a nice 1% crit chance.

Ripper helm for all aussie battler hunters!

Okay, i've seen some hunters wearing this with the ZG enchant on it, is it worth that enchant or should u just save the enchant for dragon or gaint stalkers.

It may look funny, but this is a kick butt helm.

I have full ZG and AQ20 gear, ZG rep epics, Ossiran's binding, Mandokir's sting, etc.. but my guild is fairly small so we don't run MC/Ony often.. and I still use this helm.

For DPS, I know of no better blue out there. I have +8agi enchant for it and it's nearly as much AGI as the Dragonstalker helm.

Many hunters overlook Dire Maul for gear, which is a shame. Tier 0 gear is horrid, get yourself this helm, the Warpwood Binding, the Ogre Forged Hauberk and Leggings of Destruction. They're very nice, and much easier to get. Oh, pick up a Barbarous blade and put a+25 agility enchant on it and you're golden for a good while.

This Quest can be obtained from a nice druid undead above the first boss in DM West (If i got my directions up and down right) It's actually a 2 part quest, when you kill the big ugly dude help behind the force field she gives you another quest for a treasure under the stairs in the library.

Weirdest looking helmet in the game. It looks as though your hair has been replaced with a nit-ridden mop of greasy brownness, and since my Nelf hunter has lovely long silver hair it's a bit disappointing. It's almost as bad as the Beaststalker Helm, which is inferior to this in every way and therefore you should get this and turn off Show Helmet to get the best out of it.

Starts with The Madness Within.

Kill the pylons and kill the demon.
Then kill the prince.

The you get The Treasure of the Shen'dralar
and this helm is one of 3 rewards.

Unless you have enough BS for the 6 piece bonus ( which is the only good one) this is a better helm and if your a crit hunter its a no contest

Considering that crit is more important than just about anything in PvP, this is an arguably good helm for Warriors. Lionheart helm is better, but doesn't have stamina, and this baby is free :)

Use it until you get a Lionheart.

Love the stats on it and it's much better than the Crown of Tyranny for hunters. Shame it looks so goddamn ugly, though.

Picked this up as a dps Warrior.

It is effectively 2% crit with the Agility, so if you have not picked up 雷德之眼 or 不可宽恕者的面具 it is worth considering.
