This set is a PITA to complete. One must gather these pieces from these bosses:

Collar: Onyxia

That's quite the trophy case. Even if a person couldn't complete the set (lets say a paladin wanting the necklace or a druid wanting the mainhand claw) don't hold it against them. Even if all items COULD be equipped so few people ever complete this that arguement doesn't hold water. Sadly, the DPS is low on the weapons so the set doesn't last long enough to warrant losing hair over collection. I do think dwarves look like cute little teddy bears with the claws, though.

To the person who said a crit isn't a proc, you are wrong. Proc stands for "programmed random occurence" and a crit is just that.

This set was clearly intended for a fury specced warrior. Why would a rogue want a fast fist weapon that does no SS dmg and dots your target?

Anyway like all the class specific discussions on this website, its absolutely pointless arguing about it.

This item would be perfect for a warrior. In fact, I dont see why the entire set wouldn't be for a warrior. Rogues can't make as good use of the fists because they cant use backstab or ambush and hunters just shouldn't melee. On the other hand, a fury warrior would own with these. Just check the right claw post to see a lvl 42 warrior with 2 mug o' hurts doin over 300+ dps!

i'm sick of peeps saying mortal strike this mortal strike that.. stfu, this set would rock for fury war's, sure we dont get the high crit chance of a rogue but war's can get a high crit chance. Not every damn warrior is arms spec, so stop talking. And as a fury war and i had the dkp for it, guess what? i'm bidding. War/rogue/hunter dont care who would benifit best from it, all i know is my war would benefit from it and would be a destructive force in a BG with it. HIgh AC, good dps, ways to break fear, what else do you want.

For your info.. I have a 60 warrior who is Fury specced now and i have 27.45% crit chance and Im still farming for the darkmoon amulet and another 1%crit ring (only got one). With an arms built i can reach a 33% crit chance.. but i think fury is way cooler and better for grinding..

In guildraids whenever i get to go dps, im in top 3 permanent. In Instances whcih dont require loads of AoE.. im #1 for sure

Why do so many people relate to SS as the be all and end all of a rogues capabilty to do DPS?

Yeah, if you have a slow weapon the SS will do more damage, but your normal hits will be much slower. With this set, my rogue constantly has Slice'n'Dice on, plus blade flurry every 2 minutes or so plus all the procs from the main hand claw - 70% increased attack speed... Also, with the fist weapon spec, that's another +5% to crit on top of this set's 2% and any other +%crit items you may already have, so the 'normal' or 'white' damage is awesome. You've just got to remember to get as much benefit from the speed as possible, i.e. poisons wherever possible, enchants that proc on hit (or inc damage enchants).

My rogue currently has the main hand and the collar of this set, and I have to say I've really started to enjoy playing the rogue since switching from dagger spec to combat and I still regularly finish top in 40 man raids on DPS.

I thought warriors almost always avoided fist weapons on account of the loss of the chance to Parry attacks. At least, half of the griping over the tiger claw set from ZG is about that.

so what about the proc chance of the set abilty: the spirit who protect u. any info about him? how many dmg he done? how many time he stay? does it heal you? any pics?

Yes, this is an excellent set for warriors. Tons of rage produced and plenty of fast attacks.

However, a rogue can use this too. Put two +8 sharpening stones on the claws, keep slice and dice up for 30% speed increase, pop blade flurry for 20% speed increase when it's ready, and when MH procs you're hitting with each claw twice per second.

That's incomperable white damage, and most good rogues in MC/BWL know that their white damage is the majority of their damage. Sinister strike is a good damage boost but its every 2-3 seconds, whereas your swords/daggers hit 1-3 times every 2-3 seconds.

But don't mistake my post, this set is as good for warriors as it is for rogues. But before you write off rogues, imagine fist weapon spec + slice and dice + blade flury + MH claw proc. That's anywhere from 30-40% crit, 1% chance to proc eshkander set on each crit. With both claws hitting every .5 seconds... That's a 1.6% chance to proc the set every SECOND. Warriors can't hope to proc it that often.

Got this for 35 dkp - would rather have the Ony Tooth Pendant but the Head generally goes for ~90-100 dkp... so it was a good buy with me being short on dkp since I have a ten-hour/day job and a triathlon addiction too.

Will likely be wearing it til the expansion comes out... lol.

This set is a sick set for any class that can use claws. Its godlike for hunters cause the complete set has a on critical strike summon spirit of eskander and mind you that works both with melee and ranged so in other woulds multishoting and this thing will never go away unless im standing in IF i crit every multishot. Plus the pet has the skill expose weakness which for those who dont know is also on the dragonstalker complete set for those who wonder what that skill does it addes 450 damage to any ranged attack made on the target from any person.

As for rogues and warriors ^&*! yes this is good for both if they are spec'd for it the set is useable with all epic and rare sets so that makes it great right there.

Personally as a hunter this is the best weapon set up i could have fast for wing clips + to crits which of course already means super ranged damage. I would pair it with Dragonstalkers set and the Epic Bow or even a Hurricane or Precisely Calibrated Boomstick for faster ranged attack.

Rogues now need a hella tight dagger set like this if they had that they would wipe thier @55 with this set.

As for fury warriors they need a beefed up Flurry axe something with sick damage and still multi hits so that the rage bar just keeps filling and filling at crazy speed double flurry axes and my fury warrior never loses rage bar its awesome but they need more damage.

i'm seriously confused about this set... it would probably be uberpwn but the low damage has got me considering it... (nonetheless if a piece of this set did drop i'd probably reset my talent build for fist weapon specialisation and go after the whole set =P)

this is the best neck item for crit builds...

the other neck items with crit are also great but this one is the best!

why does everyone think that items are best for rogues because they have crit? hunters need crit too and warrior and retribution paladins (which are not that bad if you know how to play)

anyway... toss the fist weapons away and go for the cloak and this babe instead... i doubt that the spirit thingy is worth loosing alot of dmg and other nice bonusses for...

So far my guild has droped Ony 3 times and 2 shards of scale droped. Today we got our second shard of scale this colar sinew bloodfang and dragonstalker. I won the collar(Druids pwn) and can't wait to go cat form and pwn. 2/4 Eskhandars

I thought it be fun to point out that Eskhandar has been a real life person, but not in name most of us know him. Eskhandar is the persian name for Alexander the Great, though the meaning isn't realy quite the same.
