I've been trying to farm this for months. It's the last piece I need for my complete Dungeon Set 1. And in 20-30 tries, it hasn't dropped once. I actually now have TWO Headmaster's Charges, but still no helm.

Since the last patch it doesnt take more than an hour to get to the last boss. I did 4-5 runs a day and on right on my second "scholo day" it was dropped.
Good advise: never go with a raid where there is another druid... too low chance to drop, and u even would have a chance to lose it.

I have horrid luck, so I never go on these runs with another druid. I got invited to a group tonight, and after invited I saw they already had a 57 druid. I told them that I was out and they said I had to be joking. I told them alright, I'll go, but just watch. I know the wildheart will drop and I'll lose the roll. I'll skip to the end of the run (which was pretty bad for 9 people). Wildheart drops, I roll 89, and the other guy rolls a 95. No chance in hell I'll ever make that mistake again.

at level 56 i got both the cowl and a spellbound tome on my first run, and i am super happy! and yes, its 2 hours for a 10man group to do scholo

My friend's a 60 druid, done Scholo 35+ times now (have begun to lose count, but he's still trying so the number of runs are going up every few hours..=( ), only time it dropped (after about the 20th run), it was NINJAED by a HUNTER because the leader forgot to put Masterloot on. How *!@# is that...!

been doing scholo for two weeks straight, got to the end boss today and got disco from server, got back online as everyone was porting out. I asked a player from the raid what dropped....WILDHEART helm and major mana recipe....and someone had already picked them both up...You can bet im one pissed druid...

I don't know how worse a party can be, but 4 hours for Scholo! That's rediculous.... In a bad party it took me 2 hours max. Normally it's 75 min.

I have been so many times and still no cowl. That cheap jerk drops the helms for the classes that aren't with us. We have no pally lightforge drops (twice)... We have a pally no mage magisters drops (twice).... We have no priest devout drops....We have no warlock that hat drops (twice).... what the heck couldnt this guy at least drop a hat useful to a party member... This has happened everytime I have been to this god forsaken place... and I refuse to go with another druid and have the chance of losing the roll bump that... I have yet to be in a group and see a hat go to someone who needs it for their set...

hehe well i did 17 baron runs and didnt even saw the kilt and huhuhu on the 18th when i was the only druid i got it...
3 times did LBRS got the shoulders(the boots i will leave for last)
8 UBRS runs lost the wildheart chest 4 times and on the 8th got it
and waaaaaaaaa 23 scholo runs and no wildheart cowl
3 times dreadmist(i havent even been in party with warlock there:P) a lot of valor(well we got warrior everytime) and 15 times elements( btw im alliance:D) and 1 single time magister and beaststalker... that's all i didnt even saw the spellbound tome to drop:(

Iv seent this item drop once.. After the HUGE patch of course 5 man... and all yuo that say 4 houres for a 10 man DAMN i did it 5 man with a lvl 58 in the grp none of the 60's were Epic but yeah got it done in 3.5 hours after about 17 runs i got it on my NE druid now my rogue is lvl 51 so soon gonna have to farm its helm down in there ~_~ lord help me

Wildheart is good for both balance and restoration druids.

My runs

1 UBRS run for vest
5 LBRS Halycon/Gizrul runs for Spaulders
4 LBRS solo runs for Boots

Haven't done scholo ro strat, but I hope it's not as bad as some of you had it.

If you need to get the boots you dont have to wait for a LBRS run you can actually sneak by the guards and solo the motherspider there is a special technique and u can read it at the boots section i solo'ed her about 8 times and got my boots :) it takes a while to kill her but its totally worth it at the end.

I got most of my gear in about 5 runs each. The fastest group up is
Druid (duh)
Priest
Tank
Rogue
Hunter
Have the Hunter kite the bosses while you kill all the other mobs.. makes it much more easy to do.. also, the hunter's pet makes a nice addition to the group. This group was able to do UBRS in 1 hour. *jaw drop* I know. It's the power group, yes even with out a mage, though if the Druid is full resto spec, you can easily put a mage in place of the priest for added CC. Thank god for my guild or I never would have gotten my gear ..lol

After close to a month of not being able to run an instance due to dialup, i finally managed to run scholo. Got the cowl and the death's clutch shoulders on the same trip. That was a nice run for first time ever.

Lol if you did scholo and it took 4 hours....you just plain stupid....I've done Scholo and it took me 2 hours with a 5 man...Did all bosses too.I did it with this grp

Wildheart cowl may not drop often, but if you're like me you will want to run scholo tons of times until you collect the bone ring helm, death's clutch, tombstone breastplate, boots of the shreiker, ghoul skin leggings, and various weapons and feral gear (cadaver set). Some of those might be arguably better than the wildheart equivilent for another job you have to do (PVP). It sucks that scholo is so long, but there is a lot of good 60 gear there, ya know.

First of all this wildheart cowl looks SWEET! According to the droprate it should drop atleast once every 14 times, so for those who still havent gotten it that have done less then 14 times stop your whining. I still have 7 more Gandling kills at the most before it probably drops.

For those on the alliance the best, and fastest group for Scholo is Mage, Druid (balance), Priest, Warrior, Pally. I did this last night, and it was my fastest run so far. Did it in a little under 2 hours, which is really good for 5 maning it.

I really don't get it. I've done scholo only about 4 times and have always gotten great feral gear. Just today I was doing Scholo before I had to go to work with a 60 mage, 59 preist, 60 warlock, and 60 paladin and we finished it in 1h:47m(And we actually took the time to do his pally quest, which we somehow failed at). The best way to get done with it fast is to NOT clear every inch of every room. There's only one area you have to do that at and that is the hallway just before the room leading to Rattlegore's basement. Just clear the left or right side of a room, hug the walls like it's a FPS and have a good tanking holding it's aggro. Another major component is crowd control. You have to worry about that a lot otherwise your tank will take too much aggro and die sooner than it should. A good tank can handle the DPS from 2 enemies at once for at least 2-4mins with just DECENT heals.

Basically, I could go on for two more pages on factors that make for a good Scholo run, but I won't. Just as Livig Strat can be done in under 45m, Scholo can be done in under 1h 27m.

Ok 36th full run on Gandling and no cowl as usual. I know this place like the back of my hand now, Do the Gods of Blizzard Hate me? All my friends got their helms their first time! My wife started playing the game and it was her first time in Scholo last night, Guess what, Her freakin Mage crown droped.. There is no love for my Resto Druid. I'll write back after my 100th run.

Finally got it! I still say that Gandeling should drop 2 helms each run, just because it takes forever getting to him or the drop rate on this cowl needs to be increased. Also got lucky an finished my Baron 45min run! All in the same day!

well, it looks like the god's of wow really hate me, just finished my 46'th run and still no drop from gandling :( , dam only thing i need is the f.... cowl and im done with the tier2 upgrade series, I was so hopeing to get it all done before the BC hit the stores, ohh well guess not ......thx for the fantastick drop rate blizz :(

Dropped my 3'rd run in Scholo..Too bad im not a druid stupid hunter got it. I know the hunter can use it but come on i still could have made better use out of it than him! -56 troll rogue.

Have now run scholo 20 times easily. In those times, I've seen every set piece drop so far- BUT this one. LOL. The only other hat to drop so few times was Valor for warriors- and our guild has two who need one. So yeah- we will be running scholo some more.. and some more... Honestly, it takes us about 2 hours maybe a little less, with a good solid group of 5. (Druid- Bal, Priest, Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Warlock) Priest, Warlock, Mage- all had drops within first few trips. Pally stuff drops for us a ton, so does Rogue. No <3 for the Druid in Scholo imo ;)

42 runs so far. I have full tier 1 & some tier 2 but want it to finnish off my feralheart set. Have finnished the questline but it won't drop.

I just went on my third scholo run with another 2 druids. This dropped and I rolled first and got a 2. The other 2 druids both got 1s. I'm so happy.

I have been to Scholo 50+ times and this hat has NEVER dropped. For that matter his staff has never dropped either.

The last 4 times I went, a druid was the party leader, and all 4 times the lightforge helm dropped (2 times a paladin was in the group but didn't need it).
I am starting to think there is some truth to the rumors that the leader/master looter causes the drop rates to skew. So I am going to start making different classes the leader to see if that helps.

This is so frustrating as I have my 6 pieces of feral heart, but I can't even get the damn wild heart hat to drop.

On a nelf it may kinda look good i don't know but on a tauren....c'mon blizzard. I can't stand to have it shown. To bad the stats are so great I can't replace it...oh wait have I got cenarion now? \o/ no more ugly-looking dead birdy with good stats on my cows head! Yeah!
Droped 3rd time and I was the only druid. Have never seen the kilt drop and the chest droped once, i lost the roll.
