A difficult piece to get as it has a low drop rate. Best method I found was to clear the entrance from the start and work down to the ogres. Run out and reset. Easily soloable for a 70 combat rogue.

I don't know when this happened, I just noticed it today, but they removed the stats that rogues wouldn't make much use out of (Strength, I think there was even spirit on this belt) and replaced it with Attack power and Hit rating. Great idea, my leveling rogue is getting a new belt! :D

Yes, the belt seems to drop frequently. We got two belts within 5 minutes. (also got an Epic plate from the same mobs, but that is another story :-) ).

Bought my Shadowcraft Belt this evening for 15 g, buyout(bid 11 g). On my server, Ravencrest its atm 18-25 g worth. So 15 g is good price:)

Now its just w8ing for me, till i reach lvl 53(48 Rogue now)^^.

This is little strange. We were going to raid UBRS, while waiting for the entire group arrive (need to wait for the key to enter UBRS). We decided to enter the instance and kill some small guys. You know what, one of the guys dropped the belt.

This belt sells for an insane amount, but it's easy enough to get Abyssal Leather Belt of Striking, much better than this. Some other SC items are alright standalone, like the chest or bracers, but in many cases, just having some random blues really are better than wasting time and/or gold getting this stuff. This dropped for me at UBRS and being the only rogue got it, but they made me equip it so I can't sell, but it makes a good gold-eleven selling to a vendor;)

I had x2 drop off the same mob it was so wierd a rare right next to the "Mother Milk" in the side with all those orcs right b4 you get to the hill where the spiders are a patroling rare guy he had a huge axe hope I helped some...

Besides, the Shadowcraft set is now MUCH better for Druids than it used to be. Shadowcraft now gives a set bonus of +200 armor when only two pieces are equiped. The only other blue set in the entire game that does this is Wildheart. It is indeed possible to equip two pieces of Wildheart and two pieces of Shadowcraft and get +400 armor. It's what I do. And yes, the armor bonus is increased by bear form. So for any of you Rogues who think Druids should not be allowed to roll on Shadowcraft, guess what. You're wrong. And of course it can also be used for cat form.

any feral druid has the right to roll on any shadowcraft piece against a rogue. if your not feral then dont roll against a rogue that can use it. i personally would let a rogue take shadowcraft first over me even though i am a feral druid, because it is used for their t.5

but dont say druids shouldnt roll on this against a rogue because when i dps in cat for a group im needed to deal that damage just as much as any rogue does.

lol, i wanted to buy this belt, it was 10g BO, lol, so i went to the toilet, came back, and it was gone, someone had bought it......i meen, rogues around lvls 50-60 like this set, ima rogue, i was so peed of.....really better than my dusky belt lol

These have been dropping for us like candy since the patch too bad we're a new server and I'm the only high level horde rouge who isn't a farmer (well too bad for every one who got one after me and can't sell it). Expect that price to take a hit unless the past coupel of days have been a fluke.

2 dropped in UBRS last night. We only had 1 rogue, and he got the first one, of course, and then he won the second greed roll. But he gave it to me.. maybe because i'm a sweet female nightelf :P Magicw was the name of the guy. Must say, quite generous :)

This is a random drop from any mob in Blackrock Spire, be it Upper or Lower. To get this your best shot is doing a UBRS raid.

On Wildhammer Alliance-side the bracers are as cheap as 22g, I bought mine for 40g 12 hours before the 22g ones came onto market. The Gloves and Belt however are a goddamn joke. I see people selling Devout, Lightforge, etc. BoEs for 15g - 20g and it never gets higher than 30g. Shadowcraft though, belts and gloves are 120g+ easily.

I blame the 1.11 patch that made Innervate trainable. Druids now are not speccing much beyond 5 - 10 points in Resto and going all Feral, and SC gear is perfect for their furry tendencies.

Got mine today for 15 g, buyout. On my server Ravencrest, its going for about 18-25 g right now (Jan 06). So good price for me, and now its just waiting in the bank till i reach lvl 53:)

Baught the bracers in AH for 2g just after the patch... ^.^ seen them in AH on Alli side Doomhammer between 5-55g depending on day of week.

just baught he belt today for 20g... seen it in AH going for between 25-65g depending.

Gloves are no less then 120g... havnt seen any other parts in AH.

And yes.. some feral druids, like myself, are drooling over this lol. ^.^

For players in Phase 4 of Classic WoW, if you are looking to invest in preparation for the AQ release, this is a great option.

To elaborate, although the Darkmantle Belt is not particularly good, you require this piece to advance one of the earlier parts of the Quest Chain that unlocks the rest of the set. The Bracers, Belt and Gloves are the first few pieces you turn in, and are absolutely necessary to get the rest of the set. The importance of these Shadowcraft BoEs doesn't stem from the value of the Darkmantle piece into which they turn, but from the fact that they are a prerequisite to the Darkmantle set as a whole.

In terms of profit margins, I believe that Shadowcraft is bound to be one of the juiciest investments out there when AQ comes out, and cheap pieces make these investments a lot more accessible and risk free.

I felt like this was important to put out there, given that on my server the prices for Shadowcraft look as such - 30g for Belt, 60g for Bracers, 120g for Gloves. These values obviously fluctuate, and may look different on your server, but the lesson stays the same. BUY CHEAP SHADOWCRAFT, REGARDLESS OF THE IDENTITY OF THE PIECE
