Waist piece of the so-called Tier 0 set. Aimed at Mages given the name and 6-Piece set bonus.

Back in Vanilla (I prefer the word Classic) WoW, Tier 0 and Tier 0.5 were considered to be some of the better pre-raiding armor sets (and armor in general). In fact I've heard that they were absolute pre-requisites for most raiding guilds at the time. The amount of effort to get yourself a full set of Tier 0 and then going through the quest chains to turn each piece into Tier 0.5 took a lot of work and probably still does.

Drops in Stratholme, prolly 20-40% to get it in one Stratholme Baron run, i have done about 10runs and i have seen the belt several times. easy to get

since when did that 6 piece bonus get added?

+21 arcane is great especially since we're gonna start getting a lot more mages interested in getting this set after patch.

Also, heres a thought. Blizzard is adding quests that upgrade you're Superior Quality set to better (including epic they said). Maybe you have to have the full set and you must be that class to benefit, in which case, you should stop trying to outroll mages on these drops.

Its actually pretty simple, if there is a mage in the group that needs a magisters piece, dont roll, if no mage or no mage needs it, then go for it. I'd still suggest getting your class set pieces though, and hry up before patch comes out.

If anyone that isn't retarded like the person directly above me has these drop and reads this, please post here saying which mobs it dropped off of, as the patch notes say "The locations of some of the waist, wrist, and hand slot pieces of the dungeon armor sets have been moved from their old creatures, including the Lightforge Gauntlets and the Magister's Boots. Additional creature types can also drop many of the previously difficult to obtain armor pieces." I think they may have changed the location or added new mobs it drops off of.

Also, for clarification, the QUESTS to upgrade the tier 0 items are class specific, even though the items are not. So only mages can get the sorcerer's set.

Dropped yesterday in scholo, from one of the adepts. Thank god, cuz this thing like never dropped in strat before, and I wasn't expecting anything in scholo but wabayum! there it was.

Why not buy the pieces of your set you CAN buy before the required lvl, that's what I did. It's pretty nice to do so. I bought-Gloves, Bracers and Belt and I'm only 51 that's it!

i got one on my 60 dwarf pally...the AH prices sucked so gave to my 26 gnome mage alt....now i just need to lvl up : )

I have never had any luck with boe set piece drops. So I was thrilled when I went to a neutral AH and saw this for sale for 5g. I bought at that very moment because they go for 20+ gold at a horde auction house. I didn't sell it though I equipped it to get the two piece set bonus (200 Armor) which is a nice bonus.

I got this off of one of the Magister's in Stratholme last night. It will be on Alleria AH in a couple minutes. A friend and I have been 2 manning the instance trying to get the mount, which didn't drop........

Bracers dropped in LBRS Tonight, fell off some random mob. druid won the greed roll then nicely offered them to me. I hate to say this but my PVP Bracers from warsong way out do these, and as a set I am not impressed at all by the bonuses from completing the set.

{Dreamweave vest gives +18 spell dam by itself and these only give spell dam after you get FOUR pieces together, and by then it's giving you less of a bonus as the pieces you probably replaced with them. On top of that dreamweave vest is about seven levels lower on level requirement!}

I dunno what to do with them, find the rest of the set? Or just sell em off in AH.....

Now I gotta say the stat buffs are nicer than my PVP bracers, but the spell damage loss is a real pisser.

P.S. I did Some math and compared these to my current gear, as of right now my armour and spell dam is WAY higher with the thrown together stuff.
