This is the Shoulder part of the Hunter's Dungeon 1/Tier 0 armor set.
It drops off of Overlord Wyrmthallak, the last boss in the Lower Blackrock Spire.

I think you guys complaining would like to hear this. I was doing maybe my 20th LBRS run and came up to voone and I went "he wont drop them" in my head then he dropped the gloves. Well i was already happy but we get to wyrm and I said to myself "If he drops shoulders i will freaking flip out." We kill him shoulders drop. Finally i got some damn luck in this game :D

LBRS bugs me sooooo much. im having lots and lots of problems with get BS leggings to drop and im nervous that this is going to take awhile to and what makes it worse is its waaaaay to hard to find a good LBRS group on my realm and i hate the place so much, clearing is a NIGHTMARE!

The other night I saw the mantle drop on my second ever Wyrmthalak kill...but got outrolled by the other Hunter in the group . Being outrolled sucks, but I can't imagine how it'd feel after doing several or more runs to see the item drop.

It's the first time I've lost a roll for Beaststalker gear - when I got my boots and pants I was the only Hunter in the group. In future run of LBRS I'll be sure I'm the only Hunter, since it's not so hard you need a full 10 people.

Thankfully I have several guildies who are willing to run LBRS with me and since I already have the gloves, I can skip Voone and take the shortcut to Wyrmthalak.

dropped first run in LBRS

lost roll to other hunter... but luckily was guild run with 8 of us. So he had other shoulders and let me have them.

i ran lbrs spire today and they droped first run
as well as the belt off some random mob. a char nammed elfferris won the belt but refused to equip it over some green lvl 42 piece of @#$%. sholders droped and beat me by 3 pts was then kinda enough to say that she liked her bloodsoul sholders better so she dis enchanted them (and yes combat log checked it) she then did ubrs and won the tunic emidatly hearthed to If and dis enchanted it in the inn i chalk it up to ass holes so a note to every on class i tems Can be ninja'ed by the classes and if your in storm scale do NOT group with elferris

I was doing my LBRS first time. There was 3 hunters in my grp =/ Voone dropped the gloves, I Won, wuhuuuu.. Then Wyrmthalak dropped the mantle, I lost... grrrrrr So I need to go back to IF and shout LFG LBRS...

got now 7/8, only need the mantle...

I've only seen these drop twice in the 20 times I've run LBRS (I'm a hunter). Both of the times they dropped, I rolled, but a DAMN SHAMAN won them >_o a 58 then a 60

What a horrible place for a tier 0 set item to drop..

Lightforge gloves used to be a contender, but since 1.10 Beaststalker shoulders is the #1 *!@#tiest set item to get.

Main cause of the problem is the lack of decent lvl 60 items in LBRS, resulting in no priests or warriors going there at all (except for horde's onyxia keyquesters). Guess Ill find me a feral druid for a tank and a resto druid for a healer. Thank God for Wildheart Shoulders. :P

Did 2 conseq. lbrs runs, two times the mantle drops. First time i got rolled out, second time they were mine! And god they must be the ugliest shoulders ever..

I have bin trying to get that BS shoulders for ages now. I am evan finding troubles getting a group ready for LBRS every one is more interested with the next big step. I havent evan had a chance to kill a boss in LBRS yet my charicters name:Cyclops

Heres my story....

I was going into LBRS to help a guildie with WLC. I had already finished it, and I came along for the BS gloves + shoulders. Now my group was all guild, and they were all epic'd out, cept me : the newcomer. So we got reckless and just charged through as fast as we could.

Group: me (troll hunter) undead warrior, tauren shaman, tauren druid, troll rogue

Now my job was to dps wyrmthallak, then kill the 2 adds. So guess what comes? a troll berserker and an ogre warrior. 2 warriors! how do I handle them both? I was fighting them for a bit, then wyrmthallak died. the druid and shaman died, and so did I, but everything was downed. We were on vent, and right as I released, the warrior goes,"Dont release, were gonna pop the corpse."

Then I hear,"ughh...Grim, I bet you needed the mantle, dont you.."

They all passed, as I told them, and I was gonna run to loot it, and see if I could. but the WHOLE INSTANCE RESPAWNED. I couldnt get there, and now I havent seen them drop yet :'(

im a shaman and i had crappy shoulders so i needed them on first time they dropped (no hunter in the team ofc) then they dropped again on same boss next run and ofc i also won that greed :P

Been trying to get these damn shouldes for months.. 50 or more runs! NTM, I have 3 dungeon upgrades.. and just need to do the brd quest.. turn in my next three pieces and I have 6 BM pieces! But no, no shoulders for me!

I did my first run at Wyrmthalak the other day and he dropped the shoulders. There was another hunter in the group who had more of the set than me and he needed the shoulders as well. I won the roll and all he said Grats. I WOULD HAVE THROWN A FIT! We had an 8 man group (two guys left). I guess it's all about luck.

Went through lbrs today after 1hr or 2 got to last boss (my hopes werent high) then omg they droped! i was in a 10man...i lost by 2!. worst part is he had zero beaststalker and i have five.

I've been on a 4 week gap with getting any BS gear. So far I got the Bracers and the boots but the Mantles are just not comming, nor the gloves in Lbrs, same gose with the tunic in Ubrs and maybe seeing the belt drop off random mobs.
I have to say this, you must have to have alot of luck to get all this gear.
I won't go and complain to Blizzard about the drops rates, 10-1 they won't give a *!@#.
Its about your luck and the amount of freetime you got to run a Lbrs and Ubrs. With my guild and having alot of crowed control and being the only Hunter it takes about an hour to clear both for me. Still haven't gotten any of it.
The cap looks like its gonna be the hardest to get out of them all. -_-

You can buy the Belt, Gloves, and Bindings in the AH those three are BOE, I got the chest my third UBRS run, and I got the cap on my first Scholo run, maybe i was lucky but after 4 hours of that place its nice to get what you want, although I wish the Ancient Bone Bow dropped, Im after the Mantle in LBRS, anyone know where the pants and boots drop, I've seen the elements boots drop off the Orge boss, does he also drop the Beaststalker ones? Any info would be appriciated.

For those of you, wanting to know the real drop rate, Stop asking us and do some math
Yes there are several differant drop rates listed, Very simple solution is to take all of the numbers from the first colum and add them, Now take all the numbers from the second....Just like thot bot does with all the people the contribute data...
Now you have the number of times killed and the number of times the guy has dropped the item, Devide them, and Valla you have a drop rate

I heard how bad the drop rate on these were, first lbrs run ever for me today and they drop. Four hunters there, but loot rules were to pass so a guildy got them without anyone rolling against for rolling need. The stats are pretty weak, Bone Golem from Scholo are a lot better, but needed for tier .5.

36 full runs of this place, and ive seen this mantle drop twice. The first time, someone DE'd it cause he was a ninja jerk of a leader with no spine. The second time, we wiped on adds after killing wyrm cause the group sucked and fought repops until we gave up (we had done the whole instance, ending with wyrm). talk about sucking hard. I've given up on this set.

There is a 500+ boss in RFD and when we went through there we took him down, and that was when we were like 40 or so. Just because it says 500 doesn't mean he fights like that level...if he did one hit would be all it took to kill us.

And as far as the Pauldrons go they dropped for me my first time through, and my second time through...the belt dropped earlier in the second run as well.

Wyrmthalak is an easy kill for a decent group of 5 or even 4. Long way to get to him though.

yah, 5man is easy, we didnt have a warrior and did it, shaman tanked. we had 2 mages tho, so when he spawns his 2 minions, they got poly'd and allowed us to win easily.

He is not hard..He is just evil. Killed him 16 times now and no beaststalker mantle :/ It's the last part I need..Either i'm really unlucky or the drop % is wrong :)

Guys... the 500 is made so he will always be lvl ?. I personally call this level 'boss'. I hope you do realize that the bosses in uldaman is 500 aswell? They might be 500 but fight like a lvl 50.. Its so you wont know until you have tried which adds a new 'spice' to the abit boring 'You cannot attack him because he is too high lvl' bit :P Hope i explained this so you understood it.

Got it on my first Wyrmthalak kill got some magisters bindings in the same run, was able to sell them for 120g, and picked up the gloves cheaply at Ah for 100g pretty gud

The lvl 500+ is deliberatly set so he's pernament skull to you or anyone. His effective lvl is 62.

easily done by 4 ppl... sheep+sap adds... the rest is pure dps.. actually harder to do the last pull before him with 4 =)

I was running ubrs 53 belf hunter with a bunch of 70's wanting the jenkins achievement and valor set (I know right?) I checked where the amntle dropped and saw this guy on my map so i asked if we could go kill him so after we killed the ubrs monster (No chest drop :() and dropped downa and killed overlord wyrmthalak and guess what
beaststalker mantle first drop :D i was so pleased 4/8 beaststalker now

His effective level is 60, I do believe. At least it was in beta before they made all the bosses 500+.

woot got them yesterday(4/25/06)! was worth staying up till 11:30 on a monday night for LBRS...

It was also done to make it so that his weapon skill is 2500, meaning that he will always hit you.

Is it just me or is +11 agi a little tight for this. Even upgrading to Beastmaster which takes time and costs uber money gets you +12agi. I farmed Rattlegore until Bone Golem Shoulders dropped with +19.

I've got 7/8 of the set (why won't that damm cap drop!) and I have dropped these for the BGS's....much better imo.

Only my 2 cents worth so if you disagree then fair enough but would expect more of Dungeon set kit than this tbh.

We've done this several times with a balanced group of 10 people.And even he didn't even manage to kill any of us.The journey to him is more difficult then the fight with him.
