You'll get at least 1 in every Thorium Vein you pick.

For some reason these don't seem to do well on the AH on my server, and no one seems to want them on Trade Chat.

Unfortunetaly, these are nealy useless. You'll get loads of them from Mining, so getting even gold from a stack will be hard. Sell to vendor or make something out of these if you can, but don't expect 200 sharpening stones to be sold in one night. Grinding stones can be some useful, blasting powder can be used for fireworks, should sell in reasonable price.

The funny thing is that heavy stone always costs a lot more than the higher ones. I guess for some reason people don't find it as often.

I was getting 3.99g per stack of the solid stones last night on the server i am on. funny thing is those are the most common in my opinion. dense stones are only going for 1g.

You can mine these from Thorium Veins, usable for engineering, blacksmithing and jewelcrafting.
