To get this Fishing pole you have to get to darkshore then as you run to the inn from the dock jump off o the left side on to the beach you will see a man named Gubber Blump. Talk to him and he will tell you to fish him 6 Darkshore groupers. After you catch them return to him and claim you fishing pole.

very easy and its nice with its +3 fishing skill

p.s. Very nice for hunters because you can catch fish for your pet to eat

This Fishing pole is a Reward from a low level quest in darkshore , that requires you to fish up a few Darkshore Grouper ( fish ) . It is a very good fishing pole untill you can get Strong Fishing pole that has 5+ fishing skill .

All weapons and stuff are both horde and aliance and when an item isn't, there is an alternative for the opposite faction.

The +30 fishing pole is both horde and aliance but actualy i'm not sure about this one, but it MUST be.

no, actually, it is a horde only quest. i am vexed beyond belief that such a high level fishing buff is only going to one side, but i expect blizz will give us alliance types some similar type quest to get a nat pagle-esque fishing pole.

i see horde complaining about not being able to get the blump pole (as it is an alliance only quest), but both sides can buy a BETTER pole at level 5 with a fishing skill of 10. the strong fishing pole is a +5 bonus in skill rather than +3 (for blumpy) and you can get it for like 10 silver from almost any fishing supplier in the game! now i love my blump fishing pole (probably because i cast forever to get those groupers with my low skill back then) and i have not replaced it with a big iron +20 yet (probably because i do not want to spend 5 hours opening traps) but for the love of jesus the best fishing rod should be equal for both sides...

After completteing this quest I got in the mail a bauble from him. I was gone for two days so I do not know if it was 24hrs or 48 hrs afterwards.

This quest if possible would be hard for a horde to do because it is given to you in auberdine (darkshore).

oook go down to dark shore and do the quest for blump i cant tell u how easy it is but its mainly luck.i got one at a level 12 lol

I've posted this here simply because even at level 51.8 and 214 fishing skill (and rising, as I'm writing this whilst fishing alongside Nat Pagle) I still use my trusty old Blump pole. I'm going to find it heart-wrenching to replace the old girl...*grins*

Two interesting things I've noticed whilst fishing. The first is that one's Melee Crit Chance increases slightly with each fishing level attained. The second is that the crit chance also increases quite dramatically if one adds a lure to thier pole!

So, for those of you planning to wrap your trusty fishing rod around the head of a mob (or opposing faction member), make sure you have the highest fishing skill you can get, and the best lure you can buy attached to the hook - chances are, you'll do more damage that way... ;}

Yeah, I just got this from the Gumber (?) Blump's quest and I must say - low level fishermen will be smashing their head in trying to get those Darkshore Groupers. I was fishing for well over 30 minutes before I even got one of those - but I must say this pole was worth it. It's greatly bettered my fishing and I'm seeing more in my inventory already! (thus meaning more cooking skill and more money). Do the quest if you are a fisherman; you will not be dissapointed with what you get.

Interestingly this is actually a decent weapon to use early on, i noticed that after comparing it with the walking stick on my druid.. so maybe rush this quest as soon as you get to darkshore
