The item is used by Stormwind guards and other NPC related to the Stormwind faction. Personally I think it's only a NPC item, they make guards for example wear it on their uniforms. I doubt they will make it player wearable... if they had plans, well we might expect a "Requires Stormwind Exalted" note sooner or later. ;)

The fact it's listed as a suitable requirement for the Represent achievement suggests it will in fact be available for players at some point.

In the original beta (for vanilla), this was a quest reward for The True Masters. Bolvar would deputize you and you would get this tabard as a reward for that. For some reason, Blizzard took this out when the game went retail :( I don't know if they have any future plans for the tabard, but I somewhat doubt it.

I've got a question... why does if this item is unnavailable to players... Blizzard put it as part of the criteria for the achievement Represent?

Is it some kind of "you'll never have it" joke or what?

i was always curious about this tabard whenever i would see it on the guards around Stormwind, currently i think its just another non-obtainable NPC tabard, like the ones seen on Venomspite Deathguards, Warsong Battleguards, or on Vereesa Windrunner. Outland tabards were seen on NPCs and obtainable through reputation grinding, hopefully these wotlk NPC tabards will be the same.

The Giftshop magically appears if you run arouns stormwind city with no clothes on yelling "I am an idiot, I cannot read previous posts on thottbot which state this is a beta item"

Also appears if you join BG then press Alt+Tab when you get right in the middle.

hahaha are you guys serious the knights tabord is the stormwind tabord they just renamed it f you look at the pic above and look at the gaurds walking around stormwind you would see its the knights tabord it was probly beta name and thottbot does have beta stuff still in there data bass this is probly some of it

Gms can only wear Gm stuff, this item can only be obtained on private servers

Private server only my cousin is a GM on one saw it on him wearing after he typed in a code to make it.

You don't it is not attainable on the normal servers. I have heard that some private servers allow you to get it. Then again they have lvl 175 items on some private servers. However, for all intents and purposes it cannot be gained through any act in game.

I got it, but it's not on Blizz servers, hehe...
Anyway, I assume killing 1000 Stormwind Guards
may be the answer. Remmember, the loot % can be 0.01, etc.
So you need to kill alot NPC's, hehe...

I've heard a couple of rumors about this. One that it's from a quest in the Burning Steppes and another that it drops off General Marcus Jonathon in Stormwind...can't confirm either rumor though.
