Someone in your grp must have done the https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=3520 (Screecher Spirits) quest chain to summon the Avatar of Hakkar.

After they do the quest, they can can talk to the NPC https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=10846 (Yeh'Kinya) to get a scroll to summon the Avatar whenever they want. It is used much in the same way as the ZF mallet (it doesn't go away after a use; can be stored in bank for as long as you want to run ST and summon the Avatar).

Not as good for a twink as you might think, compared to the AB boots (Horde/Alliance). These have much higher stamina, but the lack of a built-in speed boost forces you to use Boar's Speed or Cat's Swiftness over Fortitude or Dexterity.You could also use a Surefooted enchant on the PvP boots, which isn't really a viable choice on these.

Using Boar's Speed / Fortitude, these have:
-2 Agility
+4 Stamina
-6 Intellect
-6 Attack Power

Using Cat's Swiftness / Dexterity, these have:
-8 Agility
+7 Stamina
-6 Intellect
-6 Attack Power

does the speed boost effect on these stack with shaman ghost wolf form, or with mounts?

EDIT 02/15/05.. I have no idea what the hell I was talking about (was in beta), these boots might have had a speed boost on them at the time. :p

Maybe the speed boost was only an enchant.i think that in older versions of thottbot enchant was in show in items.

I can't see why Hunters would want these. Sure, need is need. But I just can't understand why you would WANT them. I mean 20 stamina... hunter's aren't in melee. Same goes with strength. And 6 agility is very little. You could get better like anywhere. Or a pair of green ones with a agility enchant on. I can more understand a enh. shaman (like myself) who is in melee all the time and often has to OT things. But still... need is always need.

umm. why is everyone against hunters? on these boots i say that hunters and shamams have 20 times more right to roll neeed than warriors and paladins for the simple reason: AT LEVEL 40 WARRIORS AND PALADINS GET PLATE! You can get plate at this level, green plate, with double ap and similar stats. Stop saying that hunters a fricking n00bs and go kill yourself. Hunter/Shaman item. NOT Warrior/paladin

EDIT: Oh and Subtleknife my level 60 hunter uses melee a hell of alot. in bg u get a warrior on you, he hamstrings, so like u say use wing clip but most likely ur going at same speed stil. What you do? Oh i know this one. Set pet on him and whack him with your %^&*ing big swords and axes.

I hope this post makes people realise that hunters are not n00bs like everyone says, that they use melee, and that warriors and pally can use plate

Why cant you people just give hunters a break! anyone who has ever had a hunter would know that it is impossible to keep at ranged distance all the time, especially in pvp. Yes the theory is that if a mob gets too close you wing clip them and run, but this is extremely time consuming and inefficient way to deal with them. Do you really think hunters would be able to wear mail if they were never supposed to fight up close? I cant speak for shaman's but the only alliance class who has any sort of right to roll on these are hunters, so all you mail ninjaing warriors can get lost.

Who cares what class it should go to? I'm a Hunter and I could use it, so if I see it I'll F****N' roll on it. Plain and simple. Stop your crying already, some of you peeps sound like your twelve.

yo, those crocscale boots look pretty good for a hunter. O WAIT..... THEY'RE LEATHER! unless ur mentally ill you should be wearing mail as a hunter by this time.

I am a shaman I think that an enhancement shammy, like myself, definetly gets priority on these since shaman don't have a pet to help them solo, and need the stamina much more than a hunter. That is not to say that hunters should not get these but there are certainly other players who get priority on them.

As to the comments regarding warriors and paladins, everyone else is definetly right. You guys are the only ones who get to wear plate so enjoy that and leave the mail to us shaman and hunters.

I hope this helps a little and I would like to know from those who have gotten these (and used them) if tehy are worth pursuing as Sunken Temple is an annoying instance that takes too long to run. Are these boots worth wasting my life over or should i run other instances?

I beg to differ...

If i can find mail with +7 stam and then leather with +15, i'd take the leather. the 70-100 odd armor that you lose...well, your pet is your armor, so don't get hit. Now, at 70 you'd get a /rofl from me if you were sporting leather, but seeing as we are a strictly dps class (and a fine one at that) anything for top dmg should be priority. (there aren't many cloth pieces with +mega agil out there.... so you don't have to worry about that)

at 40-58 i was still using leather... to those of you that lol me, I simply /wave and then burn your ass down. (my last leather piece was the 57 drop in scholo, and it had replaced my pauldrons from uldamann)
