Why are you guys worried about pvp in this pve set of gear? That is like saying my arena healer set is going to lack longevity due to low mp5... well duh :o

The 2 piece bonus looks pretty underwhelming considering you have to have ALL 4 totems down for the effect. It'll be viable nonetheless for PvE, but in PvP you are gonna struggle keeping even two totems active against good players, let alone four.

And I think there's too much +SPL HIT on this set, you're able to get up to +6% SPL HIT from talents; so there's little need for shamans to want more more +SPL HIT. I think taking some of that away and giving more MP5, +SPL DMG, ot +SPL CRIT would be better for elemental shamans.

I like the 4 Piece bonus though. +5% dmg is a lot more than you might think. :P

In raiding, you can expect to have all but earth down trivially, if you expect to be taking this set (because you DO have totem of wrath...) and adding an earthbind or stoneskin (in the group you SHOULD be in) is not too much trouble. As such, this becomes a very good set bonus given that it is a 2 pc. The 4 piece bonus is alright, though I would have prefered threat reduction, mana return, or straight crit to improve on raiding all the more. The damage + crit on the 2 pc bonus is really ~the same as the 5%. Your LBs in a raid should be doing 1.6-1.8k, so 5% is maybe 80-90 damage, and 35 crit rating is ~25 dmg, making the first set bonus ~70 dmg + 15/5. I'd rather the mana/5 than additional damage anyway.

Anyone else wondering why they gave us 67 spell hit rating on this set when we can get +12% hit from talents and TOW alone? On top of that the best helm enchant in the game adds another 14 + hit rating and we really hit the cap easily leaving very limited options for upgrades in other slots.

I can understand giving us a little bit of + hit, but each slot adds ~20 hit rating each, maybee I'm missing something or maybee they have something planned that would require more + hit? I don't know, I'm very confused. But that is all I can really complain about for this set so I guess it is not a big deal.

yes the 2set bonus is quite interesting. but it is good because if ur elemental-which you probably are with this set-you have wrath of air and then the 40 point elemental talent.

All of the +hit on this set allows you to do two things. First it allows you to go for off set slots with more +damage and crit without worrying about hit. Secondly and most importantly, it allows you to drop some talents that give +hit and pick up other talents.

If you'd have Skyshatter helm, gloves, pants and shoulders, the chest from BT trash, the belt from Shade of Akama and bracers from Supremus and so on... You would be hit capped and not one hit rating over with all the hit talents + ToW.

2 Piece Set Bonus Bug:
when you have 4 totems down, you gain a buff called "Totemic Mastery", lasts 4 seconds, refreshes every 3.

It Breaks drinking, sometime instantly, sometime 3 seconds later, dropping 4 totems then drinking before a boss can be tedious as you wont allways get mana back before drinking is broken by the buff.

It's a 8 piece set with set bonus capped at 4 pieces so that it allows you to wear other items without breaking the set bonus.. That's why it's hit overcapped... Face it like 8 items 4 of which when worn togeather give you 2 nice bonuses... The other 4 are your choice...

If you look closer 4 of the items give hit and crit while the other 4 give haste and crit... That can give you from 0 to 67 hit rating(81 with head enchant)... That will let you pick what other gear to wear and frees you from the nessessity of giving points in resto for that extra hit...

The extra stat only gives you flexibility in terms of gear and talents, that's all...

I've just got t6 chest and summary have five items of set. Which items are the best for 4 piece bonus in your opinion (excluding Sunwell items)?
I've made some comparison and think to change t6 legs to Rushing Storm Kilt but not sure in this.

Had a thought.....would using the bracers, belt, boots, and gloves/shoulders on a modern set be worthwhile? T6 with Wrath gems/enchants was good enough for Naxx 10, so assuming you use the other pieces to best effect, I would imagine at the least it would trump tier 9....free SP/crit and 5% more damage to a spell that accounts about 60+% of your dps. Anyone else done anything with that line of thought?

Chose the bracer, belt, boots since they have highest ilvl and none of the modern tier sets use those slots.

That's amazing. I have to say, tier six will live up to the previous tier three.

Since the new sets are only five pieces, you DO need to make some decisions, but you ultimately gain more versatility in your equipment.

It's too bad I'll probably never get either one. I suppose at level seventy, I could get tier three with smaller Naxx raids.

But I probably never will.....

This set is awesome, and the set bonuses are just what an elemental shaman would want. Now... if there was just an earth totem that would be good for a caster group. Too bad they changed the tokens for T6. Now that we share a token with warriors, we will have to wait till our tanks are well geared before we can get a chance at this stuff.

um, duh... tremor totem :D whether you need it or not it's only 45 mana with the reduced mana cost talent.

Just use the 3 caster-friendly totems and pop a tremor, and you're good to go.

Oh, and +5% to LB damage.. ohh... do want :D
