Best set for any druid. Period. (as of 11/28/2006, at least)

Excellent set for a druid. Min-maxing stats is important when we know we'll be doing only one thing such as healing or tanking. For other times, this set lets druids respond well to any situation. Naysayers will argue that this set isn't particularly effective in any one aspect, and this is true. However, not being able to swap armor in combat forces you to make some choices on how versatile you want to allow yourself to be. There are many situations in which you want to be able to switch roles on the fly and this set lets you do just that. In PvP it's a must-have and in PvE there are many more uses for this set than narrow minded healbots would like to admit.

Druid Tier 2.5 set. Requires reputation with the Brood of Nozdormu in order to turn the items and receive the armor pieces.

In my experience using items from this set in Aq/Naxx I've found this set to be godly when I'm multi tasking in a fight - ie healing and tanking.

If you cannot get the Field Marshal's set (although it is relatively easy now) then I reccommend this set for PVP as it is an excellent hybrid set giving good all round stats. The set bonuses are terribly dire, aswell as the looks!

Getting the rep for this set is remarkably easy if you run AQT enough and save insignias for when trash no longer gives rep.

Makes you wonder with the cooldown being reduced to 20 minutes on rebirth and the 5 piece bonus if you'd be able to rebirth in arena...

Yeah! In the 2.3.0 patch Cooldown on Rebirth is 20 min and with this set bonus - 15 min! =)

The full set requires, apart from the appropriate armor tokens, two of every AQ40-Idol, an additional two Idols of Rebirth, five of every scarab, and an additional five Gold Scarabs. So that's:

Idols: Life, Strife, War (2 of each) and Rebirth (4)
Scarabs: Bone, Bronze, Clay, Crystal, Ivory, Silver, Stone (5 of each) and Gold (10)

Edited to add: The boots and Shoulderpads are obtainable at Neutral rep, Helm and Trousers at Friendly and the Vest at Honoured rep with the Brood of Nozdormu.

With the Cooldown on Rebirth being 10 minutes, the set bonus (5 piece) would make it every 5 minutes. O_o

Could be useful in some situations but it's not recommended for level 80's to wear the set for heroics and such.

interestingly even if you've completed these quests they are still available, so if you vendored your first set, you can still get another.

The graphics from AQ are placeholders like Blizzard is known to do. Probably in 1.11 or 1.12 we'll get new Models for the sets. Hopefully they'll look better. This is nice gear, but it makes me wish I had /disable armor commands.

If this set some how makes you feel limited in ANY respect as a druid (e.g. catform or healing) you aren't having enough fun with this game. Constantly switching armor so you can be a better kitty, or beat the priest for heals, or tank more mobs than the MT is not fun. It's annoying to others, while perhaps giving you some sort of perverse pleasure. Druid's can heal fine in their PvP set, and they can DPS with the best in any of their dungeon sets. Why someone would waste their time and effort to collect a set intended to benefit another class entirely just blows my mind. . . . Can't wait to get this set on my little drood : )

This is the not the Tier 3 set, just to let you guys know. The actual tier 3 set will come out with the 1.11 Naxarammas Patch.

I'd like to point out about the trivialization of Genesis against the PVP set. One of the biggest factors in that stems from the fact that Genesis is only 5 Pieces to the set against the 6 piece set of PVP. Also, think about the fact that if you're working all that time in battlegrounds for your PVP set that's what you're doing. On the other end of that, throw in the Ring of Nozdormu, and go ahead and throw in your Symbols of Unending Life as well, since you'll have also raised that reputation up during the process. Just to throw that out there and let people take those thoughts into mind as well.

so how does the rebirth cooldown work if you change out sets? if you cast rebirth with only 4 pieces on, can you put the 5th piece on when 20 minutes comes up and just cast rebirth, then change back to something else? or do you have to have all 5 pieces on at all times?

Okay, so this looks completely retarded on Tauren. Anyways, it doesnt look as bad on Night Elves. Look at the set bonuses...damn...this is a feral druid set, but it's amazing for any spec. The 5/5 set bonus is the best thing I've seen for druids in a long time...now all we need is a set bonus that takes the required reagent away from our rebirth spell >.>

Take the Geneisis set and compliment it with three pieces from the feralheart set (Belt, Bracers and Gloves)and you can add:

+289 Armor
+ 22 Strength
+ 22 Agility
+ 25 Stamina
+ 36 Intellect
+ 23 Spirit
+ 23 To healing and damage spells

Add that up and you get:

+1271 Armor
+ 89 Strength
+ 85 Agility
+ 122 Stamina
+ 131 Intellect
+ 67 Spirit
+ 145 Healing and damage spells

Plus the set bonus provided by Feralheart of +8 all resistances, and the Genisis set bonuses of +150 Armor, +15 defense and reduced cooldown on Rebirth.

However, if I was a Feral Druid I would consider wearing a 4 piece Genesis and 4 Piece Feralheart to replace the minus cooldown on Rebirth from Genisis and get Feralhearts:
"When struck in combat has a chance of returning 300 mana, 10 rage, or 40 energy to the wearer."

Just replaced shoulders, boots and pants from my fm set with genesis stuff. Then added some + spell dmg and + healing gear. And now i have nice +spl dmg and not bad + heal bonuses, my stamina is high as well. So i can dmg and heal my self w/o chaging sets.

This set is not bad, but crap in some ways.

For feral druids:
Pretty nice, the strength, agi and stam is decent and the +healing is always nice when you have to heal. But here's the problem: DAMAGE and healing, I mean the spell dmg is completely useless for a feral druid. They might use moonfire once, but only for the dot and not for the damage.

For balance druids:
Decent, but there are even some blues that are better then this. I had the shoulders and the helm before tbc because there weren't alot of leather spell dmg shoulders/helmets in the game (thx for that Blizzard). But neways the agi and strength are completely useless for a balance druid. Stamina, intellect, spirit, spell dmg and chance to crit/hit is what we need.

The main problem is that Blizzard thought like 'Hey lets make a set for druids that can be usable for any specc!' but they didn't thought about that a feral druid only uses 50% of this set and the same way with balance druids. This also counts for the former pvp sets which were actually kinda crap for any specc.

Im glad they changed it in tbc, I cant imagine running around as a Moonkin with 50% feral gear :<
