No int on ret gear? WTF? Haste? why the hell would a ret pali need haste rating? it increases your atk speed by about 9.5% so basically on a 2hander that is on a 3.5secs speed basically make it strike at about 3.24secs. Wow great job blizz give more speed to a class that already gets like instant spell casts. Ret palis need Int, for one because a ret pali's basic mana is at bout 6.-k and that'll be !@#$ed away fast enough. And because Int increases our spell crit chance. With fanaticism its suppose to have a 25% base, well gl with that. Fact is that this armor needs Int, without it no heals, no attacks, no nothing.

It looks retarted, yes, but it has some sweet bonuses. I will definately get that at lvl 80 ;)

It's a 4-set bonus, not 5-set, so you can throw on different shoulders and turn the helm off. See? Silver lining. :)

Personally I would rather have a little more +hit than so much haste. Considering my 203 haste rating right now only improves my swing time from 3.4 sec to 3.2.

well i still dont understand why paladins(ret which should use soc always since it is a ret talent)need haste. it should be changed with ap so noone ask us anymore about our ap without bom and then says u suck! ret palas r made t play with bom so i feel this is why blizz puts haste instead of ap to our gear for selfhealing quick flash of light. anyway i still feel haste is a waste for a ret pala.... with no attack points buffs on our armor i feel that the nerf started from our gear and since bubble nerf is on its way i really think i should cath up with my dk who rests in thralmar nowdays...:P

Looking on elitist jerk forums it does seem that haste is pretty rubbish. A great deal of a ret paladin damage comes from instant attacks which are unaffected by haste, (e.g. crusader strike, divine storm, judgement of wisdom/light). According to some calculations haste ranks last with armour penetration in terms of dps stats, (crit, hit, str, ap, expertise etc).

We have a very skilled pally, who pumps out 5.5k+ on patchwork (not sure for leotheb). If he is chain critting with Martyr + a the random aoe damage from the encounter, he can easily kill himself between heals. (at least in the 10 man version) especially if not topped.

So.. instead of:

1. The healers in your raid are fail

or

2. The healers in your raid are fail.

perhaps your personal dps fails?

Sadly most of this set is plagued with haste rating, making almost all offspecc pieces better. If it hadn't been for the 4 piece I doubt many would ever use it.

Sorry to say but imo i deal 500 more DPS with SoC instead of SoB. Seriously with the badge libram SoC is far superior.

For your information i got 3k DPS in 10 mans so theres ur proofs

Just out of curiosity, and I'm not complaining about this at all. But does anyone know why they removed INT from Ret Paladin Gear? My 70 Paladin has more Mana than my 80 Paladin, it's kinda crazy. Lol. I understand that I can take care of the no mana problem by using Judgement of Wisdom, but I'm still curious. Any thoughts?

Okay, I agree with everyone else that T2 looks the best, but also...
If you look the full set of Tier7/7.5, Took away the lil visor-looking thing on the head piece that turned your face grey and gave you blue eyes...
This REALLY wouldn't be that bad looking of a set!
Not that it matters though seeing how everyone just hides their helm anyways so i think im just wasting my time writing this :(
