Destruction Warlock Best in Slot PvP Gear
PvP Role for Destruction Warlock DPS in Wrath of the Lich King
Destruction Warlock in a Player versus Player environment bring burst and has access to a plethora of fast or instant casts spells to deal it out. The way Destruction does its damage is by the combination of instant cast spells and procs.

is the main damage over time ability, but it also does direct damage. This direct damage can be quickly followed up with a
燃烧
, which in turn can proc
爆燃
. This then opens up the opportunity to quickly hardcast
混乱之箭
or
烧尽
. Odds are if you are under attack something similar happens when
反冲
procs, allowing you to instantly return the favor.
混乱之箭
is unique in that it ignores absorb effects (
圣盾术
being the exception). This makes it incredibly useful whenever things aren't going the enemy's way already and they try in a last-ditch effort to use defensive cooldowns. Do note that it is on a 12-second (or 10 when glyphed) cooldown.
Whilst we don't use
暗影灼烧
in PVE, we want to make as much as possible use of it in PVP (so stock up on
灵魂碎片
). It is an instant cast spell, making it essentially free damage, whenever
爆燃
isn't up we want to be making use of it. Similar things go for
暗影之怒
, although it also is a form of crowd control it is only on a 20 seconds cooldown. Make use of it to shed out damage if you don't need the crowd control any time soon.
Talking about crowd control, Warlocks are masters of it;

. The list is seemingly endless and when we use one the odds are great the other one is also coming off cooldown. It is important to communicate well with your team to coordinate all of your crowd control spells.
Arena Viability for Destruction Warlock DPS in Wrath of the Lich King
A Destruction Warlock in arena will work best paired with another burst class or healer. We are on of the highest burst and DPS classes when it comes to PVP, along with the fact that we provide a lot of crowdcontrol. Not only that but we also got a couple of things going for us as far as survivability goes. This is thanks to the combination of

Battleground Viability for Destruction Warlock DPS in Wrath of the Lich King
When it comes to Battlegrounds we won't be the Flag Carrier or put under immense pressure by multi-dotting everything in sight. Instead, we can meticulously choose our targets and quickly finish them off. Odds are if you play Destruction that you will be among the top on the leaderboard if it comes to killing blows, all thanks to the plethora of high damage instant cast spells such as
燃烧
and
暗影灼烧
. Or you simply sit back, relax grab
狂暴
, pop your cooldowns, and one shot anyone using
灵魂之火
.
Best PvP Talent Builds for Destruction Warlock DPS in Wrath of the Lich King
Destruction 0/53/16 Warlock DPS PVP Talent Build
Arguably all of the talents in the build above are mandatory for PVP. This leaves us with
3 points
that we can spend wherever we prefer.
The talent that comes up in every specialization whether it is for PVP or PVE is
镇压
. Thanks to the fact that it is reworked to affect all spell types. In PVP the hit cap is 6% (4% against the same target and 2% to overcome miss chance provided by talents). Taking
镇压
allows us to gear slightly differently and possibly more offensive.
恶魔蛮力
is another option, although changed in the name it provides us the same benefit as back in The Burning Crusade and Classic. It increases the amount of damage that
牺牲
will absorb. Mostly useful in Battlegrounds.
Alternatively, you could opt for
强化萨亚德
. This makes
诱惑
a near instant cast at 0.5 seconds, making it harder to be interrupted. This mostly has value in Arena where crowdcontrol is king.
If you are looking to purely increase your throughput you should take up
火焰冲撞
. This will result in a minor DPS boost.
Glyphs have a big influence on how you will perform and play as a Destruction Warlock. There are a couple that you could consider must haves, whilst the others are up to your preference.
Mandatory
燃烧雕文
This glyph is a must-have for obvious reasons, it will allow you to cast
燃烧
freely without consuming
献祭
. This makes it one of the biggest DPS upgrades you can get.
暗影烈焰雕文
Turning your
暗影烈焰
into another form of crowd-control is too good to skip. This is a mandatory glyph for all PVP Warlock specializations and Destruction isn't any different when it comes to that.
Preference
恐惧雕文
This adds even more control to
恐惧
by increasing the amount of damage that can be taken before it breaks.
灵魂链接雕文
灵魂链接
gives the Destruction Warlock some needed toughness, this glyph further increases this.
烧尽雕文
The biggest portion of our damage comes from
烧尽
, this glyph further increases that by 5%.
混乱之箭雕文
This is another option if you want an offensive glyph. It reduces the cooldown of your
混乱之箭
by another 2 seconds, making it always line up with
燃烧
.
水下呼吸雕文
This one also deserves an honorary mention for swimming in those Arathi Basin rivers.
2v2 Arena Teams for Destruction Warlock DPS in Wrath of the Lich King

rely heavily on bursting down their opponents as fast as possible. When one is

which has both offensive and defensive uses, and a

is a very slippery healer that is difficult to pin down and kill since they are so mobile.

for a

. The

is less mobile and easier for an enemy to pin down compared to a

offers different utility to the team with powerful support spells like

healer certainly offers much more offensive burst potential than a

due to the
